Departing From...
Vancouver's Pacific Central Station. A grand, imposing building. Just like a train station should be. -
Inside the Station
More classic train station ambiance. Sleeper Plus passengers get to wait in the Panorama Lounge, which is not anything at all like a premium airline lounge so don't get excited. -
Berth Seats
They turn into bunks at night, and have a curtain for privacy. -
Economy Class
Seats have electrical outlets. Blanket and pillow sets are available for purchase. -
Skyline Car
A place for economy passengers to hang out and grab a drink or snack. -
Domed ceilings!
On the left is the dome top of the Skyline car. The right is a view from the dome in the (premium) Park Car. -
Scenery
We could stare at this all day--and did. -
Kamloops
The train stops here briefly around 6 a.m. This is all we could see of the place. -
Blue River
We pull in here for a 10-minute stop and found this sign at the general store. (But it opened in time for us to grab snacks and reboard.) -
Shower Time
Not a bad experience at all. We wish we could shower on planes, too. -
Jasper
Greeted by snow and retro posters at the Jasper station.
