Where and When to Join the Seattle Seahawks' Super Bowl Victory Parade

February 3, 2014 at 7:32 AM | by | Comments (0)

Depending on whom you were pulling for last night, it was either one of the best Super Bowl games of all time—or one of the absolute worst. Either way it’s now time to celebrate, and the city of Seattle is ready to welcome home their Seahawks. It’s the very first championship for the organization, and only the second time a professional sports team will bring home a trophy to the city. Start working on your get out of work strategy, as this Wednesday is going to be the victory parade.

For those hoping to welcome the team home—you’re out of luck—as it sounds like there will not be an organized welcome home out at SeaTac Airport. However, the official celebration is scheduled for February 5, as things are going to kickoff at 11am local time.

The plan has the parade beginning on Fourth Avenue—south of like Denny Way—then running along Fourth Avenue for a couple of miles. The parade route will lead the team to their home at CenturyLink Field where the party and parade will end around 1:30pm.

Bad Bieber Touches Down at Teterboro in a Puff of Smoke

January 31, 2014 at 5:59 PM | by | Comments (0)

Inside a charter Hawker 800

In news that surprises no one, Justin Bieber has been detained at an airport for potentially flying in his private jet while smoking weed, news broken by Page Six. The actual interesting part of this recent headline is that the offense took place today at Teterboro Airport, as Bieber flew in on a chartered Raytheon Hawker 800 with his dad and a posse of ten to head to this weekend's Super Bowl.

Nothing was found after a search of the aircraft, and this is actually the smallest issue in Bieber's month; he flew in from Toronto after being charged with assault there, and he's looking at a DUI for pot in Miami and vandalism in California.

It's no secret that Justin loves the leafy greens, but he should know better than to try to fly into a NYC-area airport with illegal substances during a time of heightened security. Save those antics for Colorado Springs Airport!

JetBlue Loads Up Super Snacks and Drink Specials for Super Bowl Sunday Flights

January 30, 2014 at 8:32 AM | by | Comments (0)

There are worse ways to spend Super Bowl Sunday than at 35,000-feet, as now thankfully even the game can be enjoyed right from the comfort of the cabin. One airline in particular is getting in on the football fun, so if you’re in the air there’s a chance you might be attending a decent Super Bowl party after all.

JetBlue is ready for the game, and they’re rolling out some specials right in the beverage cart. Those flying on domestic flights this Sunday evening can check out the game live on FOX—that’s channel 3. Of course there’s the chance to flip over to ESPN as well during the pre-game stuff, as after all there’s no such thing as too much hype before kickoff.

If You're Looking For Super Bowl Tickets, You Might Just Score A 'Deal'

January 29, 2014 at 9:50 AM | by | Comments (0)

In case you didn’t hear—this year’s Super Bowl is going to be played outdoors in the cold weather and the elements. If you’re prepared to sit in the stadium all bundled up there’s good news, as apparently resale ticket prices for the big game continue to drop. We don’t know if it’s the weather, the teams, or that fact that people don’t to travel to New Jersey, but it’s clear that things are getting somewhat more affordable.

As soon as the conference championship games were over and the matchup was set, some seating experts were reporting that average tickets were going for around $3,000. But just a week into the hype and festivities, average prices are roughly 40 percent lower, and it sounds like tickets to this year’s game could be the lowest on average since 2002.

Seahawks Fans Score Special Alaska Airlines Service to the Super Bowl

January 24, 2014 at 8:39 AM | by | Comments (0)

For the last few weeks Alaska Airlines has been doing their best to help rescue Seattle Seahawks fans from around the country, as they’ve been flying them into town to join in on some of the game day activities. Along with Chief Football Officer—Russell Wilson—the airline is at again, and this time lucky winners just might be visiting New York and New Jersey in time for this year’s big game.

Partnering with the team's quarterback they’re calling the contest "Russell's 12th Fan Airlift,” and they’re randomly picking 56 lucky winners. Those lucky enough will score a pair of round-trip tickets on an Alaska Airlines flight over to Newark, New Jersey, as well as two nights accommodations during Super Bowl weekend. They’ll throw in access to a party over in Manhattan on the day of the game, but there’s one thing they just can’t give away—no tickets to the Super Bowl are included in this contest. That’s certainly a bummer, but we guess it’s better than nothing.

The Big Game is in Jersey, But Super Bowl Boulevard and the Festivities Will Be in Manhattan

January 15, 2014 at 6:44 AM | by | Comments (0)

For those that haven’t ordered Super Bowl tickets from Costco—not a problem—there’s plenty of other stuff to do in the weeks and days leading up to this year’s big game in the New York City area. The game is technically taking place over in New Jersey at the shared home of the Giants and Jets, but Manhattan is where many of the pregame festivities are set to do their thing.

The biggest attraction outside of the game has to be Super Bowl Boulevard, as the National Football League is setting up a whole bunch of flair across roughly 14 blocks of New York City real estate. It starts up on January 29 and runs through February 1, taking over parts of Broadway between 34th and 47th streets. Entry will be free to plenty of the events and attractions, but if you want to take a ride down the oversized—as in 60-feet—toboggan run, it’s going to cost you $5.

For Super Bowl Tickets, There's Always Costco

January 9, 2014 at 8:46 AM | by | Comments (0)

We’re headed into the second weekend of the NFL playoff season, and we’ve already had our share of fake cheese products, fried this and that, and plenty of nachos. Despite our love for watching the games at home or with friends there’s something special—and expensive—about being there in person, so that’s why we’re here to help you check out this year’s big game in February.

The Super Bowl is scheduled to do its thing in the rain, snow, sleet, or whatever else, as this year things are taking place outdoors at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Obviously tickets have long been sold out, but there are certain chances to get to this big event as long as you have the funding.

The NFL Has Banned Tailgating at This Year's Super Bowl

December 12, 2013 at 10:54 AM | by | Comments (0)

Those of you who are considering pulling the trigger on Super Bowl tickets might want to take a step back for a moment and weigh some new information: Earlier this week, the NFL announced that it would not allow tailgating at this year's Super Bowl at Metlife Stadium in the Meadowlands. That's right. It's the first cold-weather outdoor championship game and fans won't even be able to heat their hands over a hot grill.

The statement from the game's CEO, Al Kelly, is almost hard to believe:

July 3, 2013 at 3:24 PM | by | Comment (1)

The ticket lottery for next year's Super Bowl might be closed, but there is still a way you can be part of the action.

Super Bowl XLVIII, which will be held on February 2, 2014 at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium, is in need of volunteers to keep things running smoothly. Volunteers will greet visitors at airports, trains, and hotels, help them get around New York and New Jersey, provide them with information about the Super Bowl, and work at events hosted by the NFL and its sponsors.

All the Details for the Baltimore Ravens' Super Bowl Victory Parade

February 4, 2013 at 10:35 AM | by | Comments (0)

The Super Bowl is now over and in case you missed this year’s big game we’ll fill you in on what went down. The Baltimore Ravens won the first half of the game, then came Beyoncé, after that the lights went out, and then the San Francisco 49ers kind of won the second half.

It’s the final score that matters, so when it was all said and done the Ravens came out on top—final score 34 to 31. Now that the game is over—and since you’re not quite ready to start nursing that hangover—it’s time to join in on the victory parade.

Today is reserved for interviews and even more celebration, but the Baltimore Ravens are ready to hit the streets tomorrow—that’s Tuesday, February 5. The party is set to start doing its thing at 11am outside of City Hall, and then things will make their way through the city before ending at the team’s stadium. To us it sounds like the exact route is still being somewhat finalized as of Monday morning, but if you make your way to Baltimore we are fairly confident that you’ll be able to check out some of the action.
