All the Latest News on LV Air and Their 'Celebrity Hologram'-Filled Vegas Flights
Las Vegas may soon welcome flights that begin treating passengers like high rollers even before reaching Sin City. Maybe. Possibly. Hopefully, if the goals of start-up airline LV Air come true. We've been following their baby steps to becoming a real airline, and another chapter begins in the LV Air book this week as they announce their desire to do more than just fly direct between New York and Vegas; they want to add over 15 more destinations to their route map before they even have airplanes.
The whole LV Air concept is a crazy idea, but it's a crazy idea that just might work. And as with anything over-the-top in LV, the airline will either be spectacularly awesome, or a spectacular failure. Let's look at exactly what they want to bring to you on their flight:

LV Air Takes More Baby Steps Towards Becoming a Real Airline
Who remembers the debacle that was Jet America? The airline, which thought it'd be brilliant and base its operations in Toledo, Ohio and fly around for ridiculously cheap prices, folded before they could even paint the livery on an airplane. Upon hearing about the impending launch of LV Air later this summer, we wondered if they'd be 2011's Jet America.
LV Air has its sights set on the NYC to Las Vegas direct route, doing essentially a charter service that bring the Vegas experience to you the moment you step onboard (complete with "holographic" safety announcement by Vegas celebs).

New Airline on the Block 'LV Air' Looks to Link Vegas and NYC
So far 2011 seems to be a big year for new airlines to start expanding and announcing new routes. Vision Airlines started the year off with a bang, and now it looks like another carrier is testing the waters. New York-based gamblers are in for a treat, as the brandy new LV Air is looking to link the Big Apple with Sin City sooner rather than later.
The new service will be a regularly scheduled charter operation, and they’re thinking about using some wide body aircraft—that means plenty of seats to and from the two cities. They’re hopeing there’s enough demand to run four flights per day, but we’ll have to wait and see if that’s actually the case. Will they be 2011's Jet America? God we hope not.
