November 23, 2009 at 9:48 AM | by JetSetCD | 2 Comments

We all know about the rare instances of airline passenger misconduct that make it to the headlines, like the case of the naked, angry flyer or the fighting Lohan, but every day little instances of pure gross occur unnoticed or just unreported.

Perhaps you've spotted someone getting a little too frisky beneath their $5 on-board purchase blanket or going about some hygienic business, but chances are you haven't seen all Top Ten Gross Things People Do On Airplanes:

We know that having in-flight WiFi is new and great and magical, but it's best to keep your private profile and your preferences for "18/F/Asian" private. Even if it's something as innocuous as passing the time on HotorNot.com, just remember that you're not the only one who can see your computer screen, and we bet everyone else that can is secretly laughing at you.

November 11, 2009 at 9:47 AM | by JetSetCD | 2 Comments

Amusement parks, ice-skating rinks, wave pools, and IMAX theatres—believe it or not, these are all found inside of select malls around the world. And although many know of Minnesota's Mall of America, which continues to be a popular road trip destination, the shopping centers that beat it in both size and attractions require an international voyage.

So we spilled the beans; the most shocking malls are not within the United States, but can you guess where they are? Here's a hint: although mall culture is typically associated with North America's suburban malls, a continent on the other side of the world is taking their malls a thousand times more seriously, not to mention larger.

Join us in awe, won't you, as we run down the The World's Top Five Most Shocking Malls, after the jump.

Matt & Nat
In case you didn’t know, this uber-hip Vegan handbag line out of Montreal makes fashionable bags and wallets and totes from recycled water bottles. In addition to being environmentally smart, designer Inder Bedi gives back to various charities throughout Europe, Canada and the United States. From battered women’s shelters to animal rights, Bedi cares. He also sees that hundreds of homeless people eat a vegetarian meal twice annually in their home base of Montreal.

Additionally, a dollar for every bag sold goes to the charity of your choice. Within the first quarter, the line has accumulated charitable contribution dollars exceeding $16,000. Our favorite item? A little perfect-for-your-passport Men’s Murse.

This Fall's Five Best Totally Free iPhone Travel Apps

November 2, 2009 at 9:44 AM | by Omri | 2 Comments

Too many travel companies create iPhone apps just so they can say they have iPhone apps. In response we've been known to point out how stupid that is, though we've been nowhere near as brutal as our sister site HotelChattter. There's just something about travel companies wasting money on fads - and then passing those costs on to us - that makes us all very stabby.

These apps will help you book hotels the way people actually book hotels, help you locate restaurants the way people actually locate restaurants, and help you maximize your time at Disneyland. Because it's the Happiest Place On Earth.
