JetBlue, VH1 and Robin Thicke Take Over MyHouse in Hollywood

Last night to celebrate their big arrival into LAX, JetBlue threw a party with VH1's Save The Music foundation at the Hollywood Club du Nuit, MyHouse. Yes, that's the place with the bed upstairs. And yes, we sat on it and took pictures.
The night was largely about Save The Music and people in Hollywood than JetBlue. Still, JetBlue made their presence known with the flight attendants serving the famous blue Terra chips and the bartenders outfitted in JetBlue LA t-shirts. Blue Malibu rum drinks and champagne were served and everyone walked away with a JetBlue gift bag full of LA and NYC goodies as well as a good-sized bottle of the Absolut 100 vodka. (It was definitely not the TSA-approved three ounces.)
It's no surprise that JetBlue chose to do up their LA debut in such a large way, what with Richard Branson popping champagne off the wings of his V Australia planes and showing up for every new Virgin America launch. Let's face it: the competition is on between JetBlue and Virgin America to become THE airline for the young, the hip, the famous and the bicoastal. The only edge we see right now is that VA has first class which is more conducive to celebrity privacy. (Unless we're sitting behind them!)

Jetting Coast To Coast On Jetblue: Our Videos and Juicy Details
It's been a full 24 hours now since the inaugural flight of Jetblue's LAX routes landed, and although we've detailed the ribbon cuttings on both coasts, we haven't yet told you about the party in the sky.
Since this flight was a regularly scheduled one, many of the Chinese tourist passengers sitting around us thought it their lucky day to get free mimosas on board in addition to gift bags featuring airplane-size Absolut vodka. And so we noshed on cookies and crackers and drank our drinks 35,000 feet above the flyover states, as Jetblue's VP of Airports, Alex Battaglia, went up and down the aisle collecting our trash. You won't catch any of the higher-ups at the legacy carriers doing that.

You Know You Want A Piece Of This: JetBlue Lands At LAX
It was a seemingly normal Jetblue flight that departed this morning from JFK; the Dunkin Donuts coffee was flowing, the seat-back TVs were turned to morning newscasts, and passengers were eagerly chatting about their plans in Los Angeles.
Wait a secondLos Angeles? Jetblue doesn't fly there. As of this morning, they do now! It was apparent that this morning's flight 671 to LAX was more than routine, what with the free mimosas and in-flight movies, the limited WiFi access as we were traveling on LiveTV-enabled BetaBlue, the raffle for free tickets, and NY Post gossip columnist Cindy Adams petting her Yorkies up front.
It was just over five hours of beautiful flying, and landing at LAX was the best part. BetaBlue was greeted in true inaugural flight style by an arc of water from LAX's firetruckswe've got a video of this and more, just wait until tomorrow. Jetblue CEO Dave Barger was there at the exit to welcome every deplaning passenger to LAX with breakfast pastries, cake, a youth mariachi band, and the announcement that they'd be making a huge donation to VH1's Save the Music Foundation. And if there's one thing that gets LA's attention, it's money.

Headed to Hollywood: Jetblue Cuts The Ribbon On LAX Route
Writing this, we are currently sitting onboard Jetblue's BetaBlue, the pride of their fleet with its LiveTV and limited WIFi-enabled capabilities, and we're sitting at the gate at New York-JFK about to jet to LAX on the inaugural flight.
Since this is a huge deal for the LCCit's not every day that an airline scores some slots at one of the country's busiest and most high-profile airportswe'll be bringing you coverage of all the fun and frivolity that comes along with Jetblue celebrations.
You can even track us at Jetblue.com this morning: Flight 671.
Stay tuned throughout the next two days for more Jetblue surprises, including the requisite Hollywood partying; Lohan has nothing on us.
