Airline Cocktail of the Month: Delta's 'Mad Men' Hot Summer Breeze

Delta is hopping on the Mad Men bandwagon like everyone else, but instead of painting one of their planes with the likeness of Don Draper, they’re starting a little smaller. To celebrate the new season of the show—it kicked off at the end of July—Delta is drinking in their honor.

As an devoted Mad Men fan will tell you, the Ad Men of Madison Avenue are all about downing martinis during lunch, so it’s not surprising that one of the best promotional items would be a cocktail. The Hot Summer Breeze is a blend of tequila and Bloody Mary mix with a dash of salt, pepper, and Tabasco. Throw a lemon wedge in as well to lighten things up, and stir everything around with a celery stick to create this Mad Men Mixer.

Delta Opens The Doors To Its Newest International Lounge In London

If you just happen to win a free trip to Europe, why not spend a little of your own cash for access to one of the airport's stellar departure lounges. This is especially tempting if London's Heathrow airport is on your itinerary as passengers flying aboard Delta or one of its many partners like KLM or Air France, as they'll soon be enjoying a new two-level luxury lounge. The fresh digs will have a minimalist, contemporary-style feel to it, so you might easily imagine that you’re at the local spaceport rather than airport.

Lounging at The Airport: Delta Sky Club

Airport lounges promise respite from the sad public seating at the gates and the unhealthy diet offerings of the terminal food courts. But of course, at a premium price. All week long at Jaunted we will be detailing what it costs to lounge at the big domestic airline lounges. Got any suggestions or tips? Let us know.

Delta Sky Club
· How Much: $50 for a day pass that grants you access even if you are flying on another airline. If you're not afraid of commitment, you're looking at $450 if you don't have any airline status. If you're coming and going a bunch within 30 days, you can join for $90.
· Internet Access: They were using T-Mobile Hot Spots with a fee, but as of a couple weeks ago, your WiFi should be free at all the clubs. Unfortunately, there still might be a couple of locations still waiting for the upgrade.
