Gwyneth Paltrow Gets in the Travel Business with New 'Goop' City Guides

Gwyneth Paltrow is adding Travel Guide Writer to her lengthy resume. Paltrow has just released a series of apps, The Goop City Guides, for New York City, Los Angeles, London, and (coming soon) Paris.

"I have always dreamed of finding a city guide that would be just right for me, like a trusted friend whose opinion you knew you could count on," Gwyneth recently wrote on her Goop lifestyle blog.

'Anchorman 2' is All Set to Keep New York Classy

Just last week the cast and crew of Anchorman 2 turned downtown Atlanta in NYC, circa 1977, but this weekend they'll be taking over the real thing.

Anchorman: The Legend Continues will help New York City stay classy tomorrow, Saturday, May 17, as they film scenes throughout Manhattan. Anchorman 2, or Teaching Manheim (the movie's code name) is scheduled to bring a little bit of 70s style to the area around the Flatiron Building and Madison Square Park, before shooting scenes at Rockefeller Center.

Reilly, and James Marsden have all been spotted filming cameos for the movie, along with the movie's original cast members - Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, and David Koechner - at the park.

In today's awesome-stuff-found-on-the-internet, we have behind-the-scenes Instagrams of fashion designer/luminary/man-about-the-world Karl Lagerfeld. Don't sigh just yet, for these aren't your run of the mill backstage shots; they're candids of Karl's travels by private jet, as photographed by Sebastien Jondeau.

Today they've flown from Prague to Singapore. That's no small puddle jump, and so their flight prep and onboard meal (sashimi!) come under Instagram focus.

Jondeau, a bodyguard of sorts, acts as Karl's shadow as he travels around the world taking care of business. In his spare time—taking clues from his other Instagram photos—Sebastian enjoys dirt biking, cycling, skiing, and meeting cats.

On Friday, Rainn Wilson optimistically boarded a flight from LAX to Scranton, PA but by the time he landed in Philadelphia for a quick layover he was Tweeting a different tune.

Rainn and his fellow Office cast mates were on their way to Scranton for The Office Wrap Party but their plans were derailed when their flight from Philly to Scranton left 10 minutes early. After missing the flight, Rainn unleashed a Twitter rant on U.S. Airways.

South Korea Does the Obvious and Names 'Gangnam Style' Singer New Tourism Ambassador

CNN reported earlier this week that Psy has been named South Korea's new tourism ambassador. To which we immediately thought: ummm...he wasn't that already? Who were they using for tourism advertising instead? Because apparently it wasn't the really popular guy whose music videos have been viewed by billions of people in the recent past. And while we're not experts at this sort of thing, it seems to us like maybe they should have been using the really popular guy whose music videos have been viewed by millions of people in the recent past.

It turns out there's an answer to that question. Since October 2012 the tourism ambassador of South Korea has been Kenny G. No punchline. We're just going to let that hang there with no comment. The face of South Korean tourism for the last 6 months? Kenny G.

First Look at American Airlines' New Flagship Check-in at New York-JFK Airport

It's not too often that New York finds itself envious of Los Angeles, but in the case of VIP airport check-in lanes, LAX has it good. That is, had it good, since New York-JFK just opened an American Airlines Flagship Check-in on May 1.

If you're wondering where it is celebrities and other First Class flyers disappear to after the paparazzi have chased from the curbs at airports, it's lanes like this. The Flagship Check-in is a private zone for First Class and ultra-elite flyers, dedicated to the pre-security tasks of checking in, choosing seats, last-minute itinerary changes, and checking luggage with as little of the usual airport fracas as possible.

It's craxy to think that it's already been 9 months since the South Korean hit song "Gangnam Style" began its viral spread and climb from K-pop success to international movement. Just as crazy is the fact that the music video holds the record of being the first YouTube video to be viewed over 1 billion times.

Last week, Psy released the sequel song and video to Gangnam Style, called it simply "Gentleman." To say it was highly anticipated would be a gross understatement, but we're happy to say that Psy hasn't let us down one bit; in fact, it's reignited our love for Seoul.

For the uninitiated, Psy is a South Korean pop star, though he's also been called a rapper. In this song and video, as in Gangnam Style, he pokes fun at the style and assumed swagger of Seoul's Gangnam-gu, a flashy district with high rents, high expectations and a focus on the high-status lifestyle. Psy traipses about the city as he thinks a gentleman would, although he's unable to part with his un-gentlemanly ways until he finds a girl who puts him in check. No amount of money or indulging in what's construed as classy can fix his pranking ways, but love can.

Seth Rogen Knows All About High-Altitude Hangovers

Given the staggering number of ways that this is directly in our wheelhouse—celebrity travel, booze travel, a full post we once did about hangover clauses in airline tickets, etc—it's almost embaressing that we missed it when it went up.
