There’s still a few months left in 2012, but we can’t help start to look back and wonder if this has been the year of the airport restaurant. It seems like each and every week there are new announcements and grand openings, and of course many have celebrity chefs doing their thing in the back.
This week it’s Cat Cora building upon her existing airport restaurant empire, as the Iron Chef takes her knives out to the airport in Salt Lake City. This is establishment number three for Cat Cora, and this one is located within Concourse B of the airport.
The menu at Cat Cora’s Kitchen seems to be somewhat similar to the offerings that she serves up over in both Houston and San Francisco, but there does appear to be a few tweaks here and there. We definitely wouldn’t complain about grilled New York strip steak with lobster mac and cheese prior to departure.

If you’re looking for a great layover lunch—or dinner—during your holiday travels be sure to check out one of the latest options at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.
Iron Chef star and all around celeb chef Cat Cora recently opened up a new restaurant in Terminal E at IAH—it’s near E10. Cat Cora’s Kitchen is intended to actually provide you with an enjoyable airport meal, and if travelers like this new outpost as much as the version out in SFO—check out the Yelp reviews—this should be quite an addition to the airport.
During this gloomy recession, coughing up the dough for a family vacation at Walt Disney World might not seem possible. But if you can't stand to see your kids bereft at the thought of not meeting any of the Disney Princess, traveling to Orlando in the summertime is quite a bit cheaper. The Disney Resorts are running a promotion where you get three nights free (and tickets) when you buy four. Just hurry up, you only have a few more days to book.
Even though discounts abound in hopes of selling more and more churros and t-shirts, officials keep moving forward with new offerings. Iron Chef Cat Cora is building a new restaurant on the Disney Boardwalk—it’s right by Epcot. She’s kicking out the former tenant, Spoodles, and setting up shop with her own place that will focus on food with a Mediterranean flare. It’s safe to say we’ll get something better than gyros and stuffed grape leaves. The new place will be known as Kouzzina by Cat Cora—roughly Greek for kitchen.
