We recently gave our favorite list of beach bars in the U.S. and British Virgin Islands as well as some must-dos in St. John. Your humble correspondent thinks it’s the best island in the Caribbean. Feel free to debate me. This week we list some things NOT to do in St. John. We don’t want you to waste one precious moment in paradise.
1. Don’t go shopping on St. Thomas. If you want to buy Louis Vitton or Gucci on vacation, go to Beverly Hills. Or Paris. St. John has many charming shops that should appease your appetite to spend. Head to Mongoose Junction for unique boutiques carrying beachwear, gifts and art.

We're tempted to describe Vienna as Europe's other Paris, but that would definitely fall under the "what not to do" title since Vienna is wholly itselfa wondrous city built with a heady mix of majesty and cultural creativity. Thinking Vienna can be seen with a quick trip of 3 or 4 days while en route to Prague or Budapest is a common mistake, but visitors put themselves at risk of permanent infatuation with any length visit.
As with any world capital, there are time- and money-saving tricks as well as special nuances of etiquette to help you best enjoy your stay. So without further ado, here is the Jaunted guide of What Not To Do In Vienna: The Top 5 Tourist Mistakes.
The Overseas Highway through the Florida Keys may be an idyllic drive on the bucket list of most road trippers, but it can also be daunting to resist the route's many tourist traps.
While we definitely recommend spending at least one day making your way out to Key West on U.S. 1, we suggest you chose roadside attractions carefully.
So, without further ado, here is the Jaunted guide of What Not To Do In The Florida Keys:

The tiny Principality of Monaco just so happens to be both the world's densest country and its richest. Long a favorite of the cruise crowd and wannabe James Bonds, it's more than just Grace Kelly and gilded yachts; Monaco is one destination that deserves a prominent place on your bucket list and all week we'll be sharing why.
While we definitely recommend making your stay in Monaco longer than the popular day trip to even begin to scratch the surface, at least these do-not-dos will help no matter your trip length to the world's second-smallest country.
So without further ado, here is the Jaunted guide of What Not To Do In Monaco: The Top 5 Tourist Mistakes.

Let's play a game of what's hot and what's not. What's HOT is flying to the other side of the world to land at Incheon International Airport, visiting Seoul, South Korea, and eating and shopping yourself silly in the city. What's NOT is...well, not doing these things, since Seoul is absolutely one of the global capitals on the cusp of everything cool right now. So while we definitely recommend making your stay longer than five days to even begin to scratch the surface, at least these do-not-dos will help no matter the trip length.

This whole week we're highlighting our time in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, complete with recommendations on what to do. Today, however, the focus is on what not to do, as we spied some big tourist no-nos while in town, ones to avoid while on a trip to Cambodia's capital.
Here's our top 5 tips on what not to do while exploring Phnom Penh:
From time to time in our travels, we come across some cultural guidelines and civic rules that the locals take for granted. Just like our find on the subway in Singapore, we stumbled on this sign while strolling the streets of Monte Carlo.
If you have been lucky enough to visit the Principality of Monaco, you know that it is the center of all things glamorous and tax-dodgy. Tucked away between France and Italy, this country is built into a hill overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean and plays host to celebs and high-rollers who love to soak up the sun in close proximity to royalty. The main casino in Monte Carlo plays a central role in all the glam, surrounded as it is by manicured gardens, fountains and valeted Lamborghinis.
Singapore is a fine city. You've got it. And while it's certainly a metropolis on our list as one of the coolest cities on the planet, we haven't used the word "fine" that way. We mean "fine" in that the city is notoriously full of little and not so little punishments for breaking civil laws within the borders of the city-state.
If you've been to the Southeast Asian city, you might remember how clean and orderly it is. That's because anyone caught littering is smacked with a fine of $1000 SGD ($802.56 USD). This law, enacted in 1968, goes for locals and tourists alike, so consider yourself warned. The hit to the wallet isn't the end, either; offenders need to perform a few hours of community service as penance.

5. Don't pay for your tickets with a credit card
Both locals and tourists mostly pay cash in the city, and the admission booths only had one window that accepted credit cards. Since we don't read or speak Mandarin or any other Asian language, there was a bit of back and forth with the cashiers about which one had the credit card machine. Save yourself the trouble and bring 40 RMB ($6.35) with you, per person.

Art Basel is now underway in Miami; technically the center of it all is South Beach, but there are fairs and exhibitions and installations and events all over the city. We'd like to tell you not to drive because traffic is a bee-yotch but then, taking a cab is not the best idea if you want to save some money to buy art.
With no good public transport options to get around, other than slow and unreliable buses, Miami's best bet for transport during this time may be a scooter or our old friend, DecoBike.
As for what not to do, we've got some tips in that department, too. Right this way...
5. DON'T forget the satellite fairs: It's not all about the official showArt Basel Miami Beach, at the Miami Beach Convention Centeralthough the art fair is worth browsing even if you don't have deep pockets. (Keep your eyes peeled for celebs. Names as varied as Will Ferrell and Sylvester Stallone have been spotted.) But definitely make time for some of the more manageable, potentially more interesting, side fairs that have cropped up in the shadows of ABMB. The best include NADA, Scope and Design Miami/.

For such a well-worn travel destination, it’s surprisingly easy to make some pretty simple mistakes when planning a visit to Machu Picchu thanks to confusing transportation schedules, conflicting advice, and what we like to call “Peru time.” There’s also been a lot of misinformation out there after last summer’s devastating floods, but the UNESCO World Heritage Site is now back open for visits from the public, and rest assured that it looks as breathtaking as ever.
Based on our recent visit to the lost city of the Inca, we’ve compiled this handy Jaunted guide of What Not To Do In Machu Picchu: The Top 5 Tourist Mistakes. Buena suerte!.
