Baseball Travel: Nick and Vanessa Bat In Minor Leagues

If only there were personal fouls in baseball. Triple-A is no longer safe from celebrities now that Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have been spotted, uh, on the bases at a practice for the Tacoma Rainiers. (Lachey is a part owner of the team, which is affiliated with the Seattle Mariners.) They already have luxury boxes, why do they want our bleacher seats as well? Maybe Minnillo prefers the innocence of AAA to the Yankees boxes she sat in while she was dating shortstop Derek Jeter.

Nick Lachey Moves To Touristy Part of NYC

So much money, so little sense. Stars who move to New York have their pick of the most fashionable neighborhoods, which is why it always puzzles us when a celebrity chooses to move somewhere more off the beaten path. Nick Lachey would have been better off moving to Brooklyn than (according to TMZ) buying a two-bedroom condo with girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo at 635 West 42nd Street -- less Hell's Kitchen, more Hell's Backyard.

Sure, the 46-story Atelier building has a parking garage, athletic center and full outdoor basketball court (which can be seen at Curbed.com), but good luck getting his old friends from 98 Degrees to walk that far west. The only people he'll see are tourists who get lost looking for Times Square. (Well, and Jon Stewart -- his show tapes just a few blocks away, and is really the only reason to walk that far west.) There is, however, easy access to the Lincoln Tunnel and Port Authority Bus Terminal--perfect for those out-of-town trips!

According to Real Estalker, the building's management has been trying to get Lindsay Lohan and Orlando Bloom to move in. You can put lipstick on a skyscraper, but...

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo's Miller Light River Cruise

As we told you earlier, Nick Lachey finally decided to stop spending all his tourist dollars in Cabo San Lucas and took a trip to Cincinnati Ohio.

But what exactly does one do to show off Ohio?  Well, the Cincinnati Tourism Board must be thrilled that the attention loving Lachey, with girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo and Drew Lachey, appear to have rented, chartered, bought, borrowed, or stolen a yacht and cruised up and down the Ohio River Miller Light's in hand, wrapped in bright yellow cozies, of course.  All that is missing is Nick mouthing the words, "Come to The Queen City."

Boaters can reserve a slip at the Cincinnati Riverfront Marina if they are interested in taking a boat to a Reds or Bengals game.  Most of the time a cruise up the river will also get you a glimpse of the tall stacks, but spotting a Lachey can be a bit tougher, though all you have to do is follow the every present flash bulbs.

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo in Ohio

It must be getting serious between Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo--as serious as it can get with two intellectuals of their caliber--as they flew back to Nick's hometown in Ohio last week so Vanessa could spend time with Nick's family and friends.  

While hopping around Cincinnati with Nick's brothers, Vanessa gushed that she, "felt very much at home," there. Maybe she's always been a Bengals gan? She was also spotted guzzling a cold can of Miller Lite (tucked away in a can-cozy no less) aboard a baot with Nick and friends. Those Lachey's are a classy bunch.

Nick and his lady are now back in NYC camped out at Chez Minnillo for the time being...

Nick Lachey Checks it Out at Bacara

Long distance lovebirds Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo took some time off last weekend to get away together.  The two shacked up at Santa Barbara's nicest resort: Bacara.  They spent the day in one of the 26 private cabanas, occasionally taking a dip in one of the resort's three infinity pools. Not too shabby.

Vanessa was spotted catching some rays while Nick was spotted doing his usual, checkin' out whatever T&A was in sight. We can only wonder what he's thinking about...Jessica? Jessica who?

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo in the Valley

Looks like Nick Lachey is taking his new lady to the old neighborhood, scooting around the Valley and hitting up old-school favorites.  Not exactly Cabo, but it'll do.  They went to Casa Vega for lunch, a Mexican restaurant that's been around for 50 years and as such is a Valley landmark.

The food isn't particularly compelling, but it's not particularly bad, either.  It's your standard comb-plate stuff.  The draw here is the potent margaritas, which are famous enough to cause lines snaking out the front door, and we think are now are priced accordingly.  Most expensive margarita in the city, but more often than not it comes with a free star sighting.

Nick Lachey Takes His New Lady to Cabo

It's pretty ridiculous that Nick Lachey's barely given his impending divorce time to cool before he's picked up a new lady, MTV tart/host Vanessa Minnillo. The worst part? He whisked her off to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico this week for a lil' mini-break in the hot tub.

The even worser part? Um, Cabo was totally the same spot he would whisk Jess off to when things were rocky. We've certainly seen the Newlyweds episode where he boozes with his buds by the exact same hacienda.

Dude, it's time to get a new rendezvous locale friend. Take a tip from Jaunted and explore a little. We don't think Cabo can take much more of your action, Lachey!
