'Ugly Betty' Visits the Upper East Side
"Ugly Betty" is filming today near E 71st St and 5th Ave in New York City.ABC recently announced they were replacing the show in March with "Samantha Who?" and "In The Motherhood". Reportedly, they are interested in modeling their schedule after cable, meaning they would split seasons, bringing all new episodes of UB back in the summer but nothing has been confirmed. So, if you want to see them filming, this may be one of your last chances (at least for a while) since Betty’s fate seems to lie in the balance.
Though we haven’t gotten confirmation on today's exact filming location, they will be very close to The Frick Collection and Reference Library at 10 East 71st. The collection includes some of the greatest paintings, sculptures, furniture and porcelin by well-known European artists. Currently, they are exhibiting five paintings from the highly acclaimed Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, California including "Still Life with Lemons, Oranges and a Rose" by Francisco de Zurbarán.
