How 'Travel Tuesday' Took Over Twitter: Katy of 'Where I've Been' Talks

Today is not just any Tuesday. It's our favorite date of the week, because it's known as #TravelTuesday on Twitter, where thousands and thousands of people trade travel tips, stories and search for help in planning their own journeys. This day marks the one-year anniversary of Travel Tuesday, a mini-movement begun by Katy Lynch, the Community Manager at Where I've Been.

You might know Katy—and Where I've Been—already, especially if you've added their popular map app onto your Facebook, MySpace, or bebo pages, or if you follow her @whereivebeen on Twitter. Managing over 9 million fans, Katy has her hands full, but she made time for us this week to sit down and chat about her favorite destinations and what made Travel Tuesday such a runaway hit. Where I've Been is based in Chicago, so we went for smoothies at the John Hancock Center.
