Jaunted Giveaway: Rolling Submissions

Hey there, first-timeophiles! Here's another reminder to please keep those submissions to our Rough Guides First Time Contest coming. Thus far, we've had submissions involving drama, cell phones and priests, and that was just a single entry. Don't hesitate to zip a little something to us: tipsATjauntedDOTcom. And remember, winners receive one of the following Rough Guides (Asia, Latin America, and Around the World). Lucky you, readers; we don't get the chance for any compensation from our various first times being molested abroad.

Jaunted Giveaway: More Time for First Times

Hi first timers! As you may remember, the deadline for our Rough Guides first time contest is fast approaching. Because we are kind, considerate and caring, we're going to extend that deadline for a whole `nother week--just for you. Really, you can shower us with love and affection for this largesse at another date.

In any case, that means that there is still plenty of time to submit entries about your first time doing something while you traveled. As we've said before, there's tons of first time events to choose from, including a first time dealing with "debris" on the streets of Paris to the first time you pass out on the night tram in Prague. It doesn't matter, just cough it up and you'll have a chance to win one of these three Rough Guides from the First Time series (Asia, Latin America, and Around the World).

Jaunted Giveaway: First Times are Squishy

Hey first timers! Here's another reminder about Jaunted's giveaway that's running right now. If you submit an entry--something to do with a first time experience while traveling--you can win one of these three Rough Guides First Time series (Asia, Latin America, and Around the World). We only ask 250 words of you, not a lot when you're bored at work on a Tuesday, we can say that much. You probably cover that many words in an hour of instant messaging.

For example, we'll never forget our first time in Paris. The smell of freshly baking bread was in the air, the days were long, the light was that perfect color, and we stepped in dog shit more times than we care to count. But we learned a valuable lesson about walking in Paris and what shoes to bring for the next time. First times are like that--memorable and slightly squishy. Jaunted Giveaway: Talk Talk

Hey there, all you world travelers! It's another reminder from your faithful editor to send in all your first-time travel tales to us at Jaunted to enter in the Rough Guides (Winner will get one of these Rough Guides First Time guides: Asia, Latin America, and Around the World) giveaway. We're asking a pittance, really, 250 words on something your experienced for the first time while you were traveling.

We're not picky--it can be a tale about the first time it took you two hours to eat breakfast in Amsterdam because you were so focused on each and every ingredient, for example. Or it could be about the time the first time you fell asleep on the night tram in Prague, only to find yourself awoken by a drunken Czech caressing your thigh (those last two are totally hypothetical, by the way).
