Air France and Barneys Want to Send You to Paris in Business Class
We like contests. Even more so, we like travel contests. When these contests are coupled with fashion, we've died and gone to heaven. Now that may be a little dramatic, but we really do like a contest that includes business class travel instead of the usual economy roundtrip. This time, the goods come from Air France and the grand prize includes not only biz class tickets to Paris, but also a hotel stay at a Sofitel and an entirely new wardrobe from Barneys, all wrapped up in the cuteness of Disney.
The contest can be found on Air France's US Facebook page and involves very little effort, but will bring a few smiles and giggles. Just head on over to the fan page and give them the thumbs-up and click over to the Electric Holiday Sweepstakes. Once there, all you need to do is watch the short cartoon featuring Minnie Mouse and various other fashion icons, then type in your details at the end.

El Al Makes a Funny, Offers Up Free Tickets to Israel
We’re sure that airline ticketing agents have heard every excuse under the sun when it comes to why passengers need a better seat, an upgrade, or just a spot that’s a little more convenient. Instead of just ignoring our need to whine our way into a better seat, El Al has embraced it—kind of. The carrier just posted a video illustrating some of their favorite upgrade excuses, and we’ve got to admit it might have given us a chuckle.
There’s a pretty bad impersonation of JFK, as someone tries to get a discount to business class since the airport’s named after him. There’s a woman pregnant with a basketball and also a guy who stands on his buddy to show how uncomfortable he’ll be on the flight thanks to his long legs. Just check it out above if you want to get the full picture.

Give Others a 'Peek' at Your Perfect Day to Win $1K

One thing we liked when we checked out the Peeka Jack Dorsey-backed travel start-up which offers curated travel activitieswas the Perfect Day section, in which various celebs and tastemakers (the likes of Tory Burch, Piers Morgan, Devon Aoki and French Laundry’s Timothy Hollingsworth) all put together sample schedules for a day out in a destination of their choice.
Now, since that went down a treat, they’re opening the feature up to the little people like you and me and sweetening the deal with a $1000 site credit for the person voted the best Perfect Day curator.
The idea behind the feature is simple. It's “an online library full of the best travel tips around the world written by local experts and your friends.” You know how when friends are in town, and you write them a list of places to go? It’s like thata spread of things to do from morning to night, plus a hotel recommendation. In fact, if you write your list up for Peek, next time someone visits, you can just send them the link, where everything will have been uploaded into a funky little map with photos (a bit reminiscent of Foursquare Lists...hmm).

Win 30 Things in 30 Days from Hawaiian Airlines
We all feel a little down on the Monday after Thanksgiving as the overindulgences—both food and financial—seem to really set in. Lift your spirits today by dreaming of Hawaii and, thanks to Hawaiian Airlines and their latest contest, your trip to paradise might just be around the corner.
The airline is giving away 30 prizes in 30 days, and some of them will definitely brighten your holiday spirit way more than the lights and decorations on the neighbor’s house. Hawaiian Airlines is doing all of this to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, so now’s a good time for you to join in on the celebration as well. It’s a Facebook contest, so you know the drill—you’ll need to “like” them to begin—but after that you can easily be in the running for some freebie goodies.

Shake Your Moneymaker to Win Southwest Airlines Flights
Southwest Airlines is getting ready for yet another travel contest, and this time they’re calling on you to show off your hidden talent. Thankfully there will be no reality show competition involved, but you will need to perform for the judges thanks to the magic of the internet.
All the fun and games are to celebrate Southwest’s recent arrival down in Key West, Florida, as they’re clearly ready to share the love for the fun and sun with travelers from across the country. As far as new routes are concerned it's a pair of daily flights from both Tampa and Orlando to the top of the country, so after you are done visit the theme parks—or Grandma—you’ll be able to head down to the Keys.

Where and When to Watch the Space Shuttle Atlantis Make a Final Move
If you missed the move of the Space Shuttles to their new homes in New York City and Los Angeles—don’t worry—there’s still one more NASA orbiter that has yet to reach its final resting place This time the transportation is taking place in Florida and not too far from where the astronauts and crew did their thing for decades. That means that there will be no piggyback-plane flyover, but at least you’ll have the chance to pay your respects to one of the country’s remnants of NASA space travel technology.
This time it’s the Space Shuttle Atlantis, and it's scheduled to head over to Kennedy Space Center on November 2. It only needs to travel around 10 miles or so to park and ready a new $100 million exhibit, but much of the path is through restricted areas and other limited access places.
That means you’re going to need to buy your way along the route and the Kennedy Space Center visitor complex will be happy to sell you some tickets for exactly that.

Beat Bond to Become 'Agent UK' and Win a British Airways Trip to England
VisitBritain is hoping to cash in on hype surrounding the new James Bond film Skyfall with a new tourism campaign including the launch of an on-line game called Agent-UK.
The game isn't just a fun way to kill time during the work day; it's also a chance for Britain's tourism office to get people excited about visiting local landmarks, many of which players visit as they become agents and solve cryptic clues left around the virtual country.

Southwest Combines Love of Pumpkins and Planes for Carving Contest
Time is running out to head to the farm stand—or Whole Foods Market—to pick up your pumpkin. There’s definitely a little pressure to select a good one this year, as it looks like Southwest Airlines is eager to judge your work.
Southwest Airlines loves Halloween, and this year their seasonal theme is “Jack-o’-lanterns are burning bright; time to take a Southwest or AirTran Flight!” Unfortunately their holiday contest is now over, as they've invited some expert pumpkin carvers to celebrate the season in person at their annual Halloween party down in Dallas. It may be too late to win that chance, but it's not too late to use some pumpkin carving resources the airline has made available.

Play 'The Name Game' and Help Air Canada Name a New Airline
If you’ve already packed it in at the workplace today, then you definitely have plenty of availability to spend some time on an airline contest. Air Canada needs your help—and they’ll award you handsomely—as the carrier is looking for a little assistance when it comes to naming their new spinoff low cost carrier.
We’ve mentioned that Air Canada was thinking about getting into the cheapo carrier business, and now it looks like it’s going to happen sooner rather than later. However, they definitely need a name before they can start selling tickets, so that’s where you come into the picture.
All you need to do is head over to their Facebook page and throw your idea to the masses. Everyone who enters—even those with awful suggestions—will be able to score a chance at one of three Air Canada Vacations gift certificates valued at $1,500.
