Training Camp Travel: Brady and The Patriots Return to New England

Are you ready for some football?! After a summer of bickering back and forth a deal was made to get the NFL back to business, and now we’re only a few weeks away from the first week of the season. We’re already planning our Sunday menus of overindulgence, but until then we can always start practicing our tailgating skills at training camp:

The New England Patriots have been a threat to win it all for quite some time, and this year looks to be the case as well. Tom Brady and his crew—including newly acquired Chad Ochocinco—have been practicing in pads and helmets for a few weeks now and are slowly and steadily getting ready for the 2011 season. There’s plenty of games to be played until the Super Bowl rolls around, including at least two games against those pesky New York Jets, so we’ll see how the season shakes out.

Entourage Returns to Hollywood Full-Time this Weekend

Entourage returns to HBO for a sixth season this Sunday night, and after detours in recent seasons to Colombia, Mexico, and Queens, the bro-crew looks like they’re ready to hit LA full-time again.

Vinny Chase is set to re-launch his career after scoring a role in a new Martin Scorsese flick, and that means the boys are back on the Hollywood circuit. We haven’t heard any reports of Entourage filming far afield this season, which is good news for those who watch the show less for the celebrity sightings than for the tutorials on what’s hot in the LaLa-land club scene.

The cast has been spotted in recent months at Villa Lounge—an uber-sleek Melrose Heights club outfitted to look like a plush Hollywood Hills Mansion (good luck getting in if you’re not actually with a celebrity)—and Urth Café, which should provide a nice little bump for that trendy West Hollywood organic coffee shop. Of course, those in it for the celeb sightings won’t be disappointed either as L’il Wayne, Tom Brady, Zac Efron, and LeBron James have all been spotted recently on the Entourage set.

Paris Hilton Does Kentucky

The Kentucky Derby may not be a huge draw for average joes this year, but it's still reeling in A-listers.

Well, at least the Derby-eve party on Friday night is. The notorious Barnstable Brown bash is hosted by Louisville's locally-famous socialite twin sisters Priscilla Barnstable and Tricia Barnstable Brown, in their opulent mansion in the tony Bonnycastle neighborhood. The 21-year-old fiesta has made enough of a mark on the socialite set that it even draws celebs who don't bother to stick around for the race.

In addition to Hilton, Tom Brady, Brooke Shields, and Kid Rock will be among the boldface names at the twins' house. For the first time this year, the bash will be followed by an after-party at the Sports and Social Club, a brand new downtown club, so there could be a chance to get in some late-night celeb-sightings.

Once More, With Feeling: Brady and Bundchen Have Costa Rica Destination Wedding

One party just wasn't enough: After tying the knot in a private ceremony in Caifornia last month, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen got hitched again this weekend at her house in Costa Rica.

25 guests witnessed the re-hitching of Brady and Bündchen, who left her house to prep for the wedding separately at the Milarepa Hotel and Hotel Flor Blanca in the city of Santa Teresa. Guests included Brady's 1-year-old son, the source of controversy in Bündchen's recent Vanity Fair profile in which she said she felt like his mother (news to his real mother, Bridget Moynahan) and Patriots owner Robert Kraft. Paparazzi who managed to figure out the date and location of the ceremony were fired on by security guards hired for the occasion.

There are competing schools of thought on whether destination weddings will take a major hit or a minor hit during this recession. Bridal Guide magazine predicted destination weddings would be up 14 percent this year despite the downturn because they often involve fewer guests (and thus lower overhead). But AdAge found the average price of a wedding in the U.S. dropped in 2008 for the first time in 17 years, indicating that many brides are not only actively looking to cut costs, they're actually doing it.

The Church Where Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen Got Married?

To "All the single ladies"...who thought Tom Brady was going to break up with Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen, we have some bad news. He did put a ring on it but it wasn't your finger.

Nope. Tom and Gisele, after much speculation and gossip, got married at the St. Monica Catholic Church in Santa Monica, Calif. yesterday, Us Weekly reports.

The bride, 28, donned a form-fitting ivory lace strapless gown with a trumpet skirt, scalloped edges, long train and a floor-length veil with attached handmade satin roses and attached satin headband, all by Dolce & Gabbana. Her three dogs also wore matching Dolce & Gabbana floral lace collars.

Brady-Bundchen Union: Real Or Fake?

When we reported on Friday about New England Patriot Tom Brady's private jet proposal to model girlfriend Gisele Bundchen, we were fixated on whether the gesture was splashy and sweet or tacky and tired. But while the private jet definitely took off, the wedding might not have: Brady relatives have emerged to say they didn't hear anything about an engagement from the quarterback.

"Nobody told me," Tom Brady, Sr. told The Boston Globe. "We talked to him and there’s nothing to say." The couple were also allegedly spotted out in Boston, not wearing wedding rings--although they could be faking! Maybe they were just peeved that Brady's plans reached the paparazzi before they were able to tell everyone.

On the bright side, if Brady's next surgery is going to take him out for the 2009 season as well, as The Sporting News says, he'll have plenty of time to actually propose and even get involved in the wedding.

Tom Brady Proposes On Paparazzi-free Flight

While a crowd of photogs swarmed sidelined Patriots QB Tom Brady as he arrived at Gisele Bundchen's New York townhouse on Christmas Eve, they certainly weren't lurking when he proposed late that night: Brady filled a private jet with white roses, stocked the bar with champagne and took off from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey for Boston before popping the question to his girlfriend of about two years.

While we can understand why a gal might want to marry Brady, we're still amazed that anyone would agree to fly to Boston at this time of year. Point that private jet south, lovers!
