How To Tip Better On Vacation

When traveling, it's always best to be sensitive to the unwritten rules of one's surroundings. If you pass through a big city, that means tipping according to local percentage. If you stiff your waiter once, maybe nothing will happen to you -- but if you're dating a celebrity and you happen to stiff a bartender, trust that the next day everyone will know Brazilian Model Pedro Andrade is a cheapskate. Erstwhile N*SYNCer Lance Bass' latest rumored boy toy either didn't know, or chose to forget, the minimum-$1-per-drink rule while partying at Butter the other night.

Even before TMZ, bloggers like the tableside hero "Stained Apron" made lists of which celebrities were the worst tippers. You might not be famous, but check out Budget Travel's guide to tipping, or if you're traveling with Lance Bass, Forbes' luxury travel tip guide, next time you take off. As for Pedro, we bet he won't try pulling that stunt at Justin Timberlake's restaurant.
