In the last episode of The Amazing Race, the pink and black attack missed the flight to China, which put them in dead last. The goths managed to catch up, only to realize that they had left a fanny pack on a gondola, meaning they had to backtrack to receive it. While mom and son clinched first place in the leg, Phil revealed that the race was still going and there was no elimination—yet. We were left watching the pink and black attack figure out what to do about the missing fanny pack, which contained their passports and money. Will the ugly travel accessory be the downfall of the pink and black attack?

In the last episode of The Amazing Race, the teams went Tokyo. BFFs were victorious, snatching up first place. The dad-daughter team accused the Globetrotters of dirty tactics for mixing up fanny packs and not returning theirs to its proper place, costing dad and daughter a lot of time. Phil agreed it was a low blow and gave the ballers a penalty. But it was the cheerleaders who were in the back of the pack. The ladies got into a small fender bender, which put them way behind. However, the dad-son team bowed out of the competition when a roadblock proved to be too taxing for the 70-year-old. Nine teams remain. Who will get eliminated next?

In the last episode of The Amazing Race, racers went to the Outback and things got tense. Dad Mel had problems dealing with the physical demands of the competition, but was able to power through it. Dad Ron and daughter Christina almost lost the leg because of their annoying bickering. But in the end, the engaged couple couldn't overcome their automatic U-turn penalty and got eliminated. The BFFs hopped into first place with their kangaroo costumes. Ten teams remain. Who will get booted next?

Rebel Chef Ludo Lefebvre to Travel the USA in New Sundance Channel Reality Show

March 3, 2011 at 10:51 AM | by | Comments (0)

Attempting to reserve a table at Chef Ludo Lefebvre's pop-up venture, LudoBites, is tantamount to trying to score impossible concert tickets. Los Angeles foodies clamour like groupies for the chance to try Lefebvre's experimental dishes, with a collective of super-fans having gone so far as to dub themselves "Ludo Bitches" and set up a website in homage to the tattooed impresario.

Lefebvre, who has previously appeared on Top Chef Masters and Hell's Kitchen, recently landed a series deal with the Sundance Channel, who've commissioned a show based on his popular pop-up restaurant. According to Eater LA, the show will follow fiery Lefebvre and wife/business partner Krissy (who you may recognize from The Apprentice) as they travel from coast-to-coast, "take over an existing restaurant that doesn't do dinner" and, in rapid reality show turnaround, "hire the staff, source the ingredients, and open a one-night only pop-up restaurant."

Sure, last night was the Oscars, but more importantly, it was the continuation of last week's 18th season premiere of The Amazing Race. In the last ep, the all-star racers quickly learned that the game was going to be different this time around when Phil announced that the team to come in last for the first challenge would get an automatic U-turn. Plus, an emergency plane landing put the leading racers on the bottom and helped the back-of-the-pack teams come in first at the pit stop—Ms. Kentucky and her dad got the top spot.

But again, Phil surprised everyone at the pit stop by saying the first leg wasn't finished yet and the show ended with a cliffhanger "To be continued..." The cowboys are in dead last; will they be the ones to get the first kiss-off of the season?

How Not to Be 'An Idiot Abroad' in Mexico

February 14, 2011 at 4:25 PM | by | Comments (0)

Though Karl Pilkington might not be the best tour guide for practical international travel, he did have one important revelation to share on this week's episode of An Idiot Abroad - they don't actually have Mexican Jumping Beans in Mexico.

As part of his quest to see all seven wonders of the world, Karl visited the Mayan site Chichen Itza which includes the Kukulkan Pyramid, also known as the castle, and is considered one of the world's seven wonders. The temple was used for human sacrifice is surrounded by several other structures, including rows of ancient pillars which Karl refers to as "an Ikea for columns."

'An Idiot Abroad' Visits Petra and You Can Too

Where: Petra, Jordan
February 8, 2011 at 1:31 PM | by | Comments (0)

The new Science Channel series An Idiot Abroad, which stars Ricky Gervais' sidekick Karl Pilkington, may get mixed reviews for Karl's antics, but the locations he visits are some of the most beautiful in the world.

The premise of the show is that Ricky and his pal Stephen Merchant send Karl to the Seven Wonders of the World where he reluctantly immerses himself in local culture, complaining all the way. He may get annoying, but the scenery is ideal for armchair travelers watching on the other end of the TV set...

It's Amazing Race finale time. We lost the tatted couple in the last episode; they just couldn't overcome the six-hour penalty and speed bump. That means it comes down to the home shopping hosts, the docs, and hairy and the hairdresser. This season we've seen the first double U-turn, witnessed a couple get engaged and saw poor Clair get pummeled in the face with a watermelon. Who will win the million bucks? Will TAR finally crown its first all-ladies winning team?

Find out after the jump.
