Set your DVRs or create an iCal alarm as TONIGHT at 9pm EST The Travel Channel debuts their newest show, "Airport 24/7: Miami." It's only scheduled to run for 6 episodes, but the press release promises that viewers will see behind-the-scenes how airport personnel "fight terrorism, intercept drug smugglers, secure a presidential landing, manage severe weather and much more."
In case you need a little nudge over whether or not it's worth a watch, here's the details on the main people profiled:
"Is 'Amazing Race' still on?!"
That was the question heard 'round the country last night, as channel surfers looking for something to watch on a Sunday night came across the start of the 21st season of the reality TV contest show.
Here at Jaunted, we used to recap each episode of the show, all the way up through Season 18. Then interest was lost, and if travel-obsessed, airline-loving, used-to-dream-about-being-on-Amazing-Race we are losing interest, then lord knows how the show continues to get ratings here in what feels like their 93rd season. Maybe it's because they manage to find competitors like this season's gay farmers and Chippendales dancers?
Still, here's a bit about last night's premiere:

The exhibit has been bringing fans on an interactive journey through time and space since it opened up back in July. According to the website, visitors "step though a crack in time and help the Doctor, armed with his Sonic Screwdriver to escape from his foes, fly the TARDIS and come face-to-face with some of the scariest monsters seen on screen including Daleks, Cybermen and Sontarans."

Despite having our share of mobile devices and streaming services we often still find ourselves gazing into the glow of the televisions in and around the airport. Usually it's some odd version of CNN where Anderson Cooper or Wolf Blitzer is discussing—on mute of course—the day’s events. Well that’s about to change, as it looks like another company is getting ready to challenge CNN and their airport television dominance.
Clear Channel loves everything from radio stations to billboards, and now they’re going after the screens in the terminals and concourses. Their new ClearVision network will splice together bits and pieces of news, sports, and weather in hopes of grabbing your attention as you attempt to down those last few bites of airport food court cuisine. Networks like CBS, Fox, and NBC are even jumping on board, so maybe a few of your favorite programs will make the leap to the gate.
