More Airport Scales We Can't Trust
Tucson International is the latest airport to have luggage scale irregularities after New York's Department of Consumer Affairs revealed just before Thanksgiving that scales used by American Airlines at JFK were inaccurate. The Arizona Department of Weights and Measures says all 15 scales used by Delta and United at TUS failed inspection.
While officials didn't say how inaccurate scale readings were, what we do know is that United charges $125 for bags over 50 pounds and Delta asks $25 for items between 50 and 70 pounds.
We'd normally say "You shouldn't be checking bags anyway," but that's hard advice to head if you're packing your skis or snowboards this winter.

We still haven't managed to catch up with all the airport WiFi emails we've gotten over the past few weeks, but we're trying! Keep the tips coming, and we'll keep updating our mashup.
This week, we've got a few smaller airports but we've also added Hong Kong International, which has free access throughout. And if you're passing through Vietnam, you'll be able to send an email from SGN before hopping an AirAsia flight.
If we managed to miss your favorite airport hotspot, do fill us in. The more specific you can be the better: Where did you log on, and what's the power outlet scene?

Airport WiFi: More Free Places to Surf

Contribute your airport wireless report by leaving it in comments, uploading your airport photo to Jaunted Flickr Photo Pool, or via email, and we will add it to our U.S. Airport Wireless map.
It's been awhile since we've updated our Airport WiFi Guide, but that hasn't kept you diligent tipsters from filling us in on spots with free Internet access. With all the in-flight WiFi news lately, we thought now would be as good a time as any to heap praise on more airports that let passengers jump online for free.
Tucson International lets flyers go wireless in airport restaurants and is planning to expand the service airport-wide soon. Burlington International in Vermont has free access throughout its facilities. And Manchester-Boston Regional has the same.
Keep sending in those tips, and we'll keep updating our map, free WiFi lovers!
