October 9, 2009 at 3:38 PM | by egw | 0 Comments

Spike Jonze's adaptation of the children's classic "Where The Wild Things Are" opens October 16th, and if you can't actually be with Max in the woods, head to New York for some wild activities.

Wild Things Week introduces kids of all ages to Maurice Sendak's book and gets them excited for the Dave Eggers-scripted movie. Aside from fashion collaborations inspired by the movie and reissues of the book, there are tons of events happening around the country to celebrate the favorite childrens' book. We've discovered a few just in New York City, but we're sure that a google search should bring up a few events in whatever city you live in.

NYC's wild rumpus beings after the jump.

Michelle Williams Moves On

Where: 2128 Hillhurst Ave., Los Angeles, CA
August 7, 2008 at 9:30 AM | by egw | 1 Comment

After what had to have been unbearable months following the death of former flame and parent to her child Heath Ledger, Michelle Williams may have found comfort in the arms of director Spike Jonze. Jonze, who was previously married to Sofia Coppola, took Williams to an Italian restaurant in Los Feliz called Little Dom's where, for the first time this year, she was caught by the paparazzi smiling. Good for her!

Williams just wrapped a small role in the next Martin Scorsese flick "Ashecliffe" (starring Leonardo DiCaprio) and is filming the romantic drama "Blue Valentine" with Ryan Gosling. Jonze has been attached to a live-action version of the children's book "Where The Wild Things Are" for years, and it's either DOA or finished and waiting for the festival circuit.
