A Few Thousand People Would Like to Reunite This Nice Family With Their Camera
Do you know the nice looking family in the photo above? If you do, please tell us how to contact them, because there are a few thousand people who want to reunite them with their lost camera. If the internet can be trusted (of course it can), they lost the camera while on a recent vacation in Maui, and some random person found it and looked at the photos on the memory card. He or she then decided to share one of the photos on the social media site Reddit in the hopes that the vast community of Redditors can make the magic happen once again and locate the owners.

Wine Lists Turn To Social Media at L'Anima Restaurant In London
The L'Anima Italian restaurant in London has gone one step further than just letting you choose your wine from a touch screen; last month they ran an online contest so that blog readers (some of whom, we presume, were also restaurant goers) could choose three new wines for L'Anima to add to their impressive wine list.
And it wasn't just a case of voting for your favorite wine off a list. L'Anima went to the trouble of getting three pairs of wine experts to explain their favorites off the shortlist of nine, made these explanations into YouTube vids, and got voters to decide which video was the best.

No Orbitz, You Didn't Need To Develop That Facebook Application

Memo to booking and airline companies: despite how it sometimes might appear, we're on your side. Really we are. We want you to only do smart things. When you do not smart things you incur costs without producing revenue, creating shortfalls that you pass on to us. That means we travel less, which causes us to get just a wee bit claustrophobic, and without getting into too many details - everybody loses.
Shifting gears, the last few years have seen something of a trend among the 30 year old former frat boys who inhabit the classrooms of our nation's fine MBA programs. Specifically, if a project has a Facebook application or somehow involves Twitter, it's gold. Conversely, projects without Web 2.0 tie-ins are preemptively deemed failures. Proposals don't have to make sense. They just has to have lots of phrases like "viral advertising" and "user generated content."
Fast forward a few years and these supple minds are now consultants, randomly going from business to business telling middle managers to invest in Facebook apps. To which we can only respond the same way fashion blogs react when starlets show up to awards shows wearing formal shorts. Oh honey, no:

JetBlue Totally Down With The New Technology The Kids Are Using
In the arms race that is airlines' push to win the hearts of the Twitter-using message, JetBlue just took a giant leap forward. Digg founder Kevin Rose reported on his Twitter feed that on his flight into the home of SXSW yesterday, attendants suggested on the ground that the passengers tweet their arrival.
We do always like to toss up a jaunty "Wheels up!" or "Wheels down" on our trips. According to JetBlue's Twitter page, the flight attendant who mentioned Twitter even has her own page -- and oh, the tales she can probably tell.
What do you think is the airline that is using Twitter the best so far? Giddy star-studded Virgin America? Chummy Southwest? Someone else? Let us know.
