No Continuity Errors In This Carryon

October 29, 2008 at 9:15 AM | by egw | 0 Comments

Star of the forthcoming "Transformers 2" Shia LaBeouf gets off a plane at LAX looking angry in flannel. Hey, he's carrying the same doctor bag we saw him with in May! No trend zombie, that guy.

Despite injuring his hand on the set, LaBeouf continues to press forward with next summer's sequel to the giant car-robot movie of 2007, filming in Delaware, Tucson, Paris and Egypt. He also has a small part in next February's "New York I Love You," a collection of short films based on the 2007 art-house favorite "Paris je t'aime."

Cannes Travel: Mind Your Personal Crystal Skulls

Where: Cannes, France
May 23, 2008 at 9:05 AM | by egw | 0 Comments

Being rich and famous doesn't exempt a person from the indignities of travel. Nor does being an international treasure hunter, apparently: Harrison Ford's red-carpet premiere for "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" at the Cannes Film Festival was ruined when someone made off with his digital camera.

Last seen in Ford's pocket, the camera has not yet been recovered and is the only medium in history to prove that, when she turns sideways, the actor's wife Calista Flockhart actually does disappear.

Maybe Shia LaBeouf's sidekick Mutt grabbed it to make his mentor a nice scrapbook!

Shia LaBeouf's Cold-Plane Defense

May 5, 2008 at 10:33 AM | by egw | 0 Comments

"Transformers" actor Shia LaBeouf rocked a '90s flannel, a '70s concert T-shirt, a space-age rolling bag and a nineteenth-century doctor's bag at LAX yesterday. Hopefully he'll be more uniformly packed for his role as Indiana Jones' sidekick in their quest for the Crystal Skull.

LaBeouf just wrapped filming the thriller "Eagle Eye," about a man framed as a terrorist, in Southern California. Next he's switching coasts for a short film directed by Shekhar Kapur ("Elizabeth: The Golden Age") that will be part of "New York, I Love You" with John Hurt and Julie Christie.

Indiana Jones IV Trailer Travel

February 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM | by markj | 0 Comments

Few movies have spawned as many travel opportunities as the Indiana Jones trilogy. From Indy inspired archeological trips in Israel to the epic stunt spectacular at MGM--Indy equals travel. Today, the Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull trailer officially debuted, and the fourth Indy installment is set to open on May 22, 2008. The new movie is set in the 1950s and stars Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett, John Hurt and, of course, Harrison Ford. You can bet multitudes of movie inspired summer travel will follow.

So what sort of filming locations can we expect in the new movie? Yale, Hilo Hawaii, the Chihuahuan Desert in New Mexico, oh and Roswell. Roswell? Does that mean aliens will be making an appearance in the new movie? Who knows, but there were no aliens in the trailer, just plenty of Indy's signature hat. Stay tuned.

The Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull trailer is here.

At Lakers Game, Night of Bromance

January 29, 2008 at 9:00 AM | by egw | 0 Comments

Shia LaBoeuf and Ashton Kutcher tell secrets while courtside at the Lakers game on Sunday. Still, it seems the new Tom Hanks had a bit of a Jessica Simpson effect on his hometown squad: The Lakers lost to the visiting Cavaliers.

Kanye West and Nicky Hilton were also at the game. With Super Bowl tickets soaring over $2,000 in resale, maybe it's time to adopt a new favorite sport.
