So much for a low profile for six months--Miley Cyrus resurfaced after just six days to perform in a Disney Channel concert in Orlando this weekend.
The pop star, alias Hannah Montana, performed two new songs from her forthcoming album and thanked "you guys" in the audience for all the support in the days after images from her potentially salacious Vanity Fair photo shoot were posted online.
Somewhere deep in the mountains of New Mexico, Dick Cheney is feeling lonely.

Normally we don't care about the whereabouts of teen entertainer Miley Cyrus. But since the uproar over some pictures in "Vanity Fair," in which Cyrus was posed with her front covered but with her shoulders and back bare, Disney executives are hiding their star property until the furor blows over. "They're trying to keep her contained," an anonymous higher-up was quoted as saying in the New York Post:
The company is keeping her away from events and wants her to keep a very low profile for the next four to six months.
If you've got a teenager with her own crowd of paparazzi, where do you put her for six months? If we were Disney's travel agent, we would present three options: Winter cruise in Antarctica, intense yoga training in rural India or foreign-policy seminar wherever Dick Cheney goes when he's in his "undisclosed location." (Oman?) Anywhere else, and someone will find her and demand she explain a slightly risque photo shoot with one of America's most renowned photographers which included a shot less scandalous than the ones which have leaked out of her personal album.

Singer Lily Allen is denying reports that she and boyfriend Johnny Borrell were thrown out of a classy London nightclub. According to eyewitnesses, Allen and Borrell (who is a singer for the band Razorlight) were discovered in the men's room of the club Dolce and summarily asked to leave.
Lily says it's nonsense:
I always go to the men's toilets when there's a huge queue in the ladies'.
We can't fault Lily for spotting an opening and attempting to cut ahead. Despite our sister once walking in on a retiree in the Bahamas, we have done this. How evil and dangerous is it, really?
