As we wrap up another year of San Diego Comic-Con coverage, we would be doing future Con attendees a disservice if we didn't mention what else there is to do in and around San Diego. It seems like it would be a shame to spend the time and money it takes to get to San Diego and never leave the convention floor.
So, here are our Top 5 must-see attractions outside the San Diego Convention Center:

We were there and here's what we've learned about queuing up at the Con:
If you're hoping to get into a panel in Ballroom 20, allow at least an hour and a half for the wait in line. We missed a panel on Saturday after arriving with only 45 minutes to spare. And for events taking place in Hall H, you might want to get there the night before to secure your spot in 6,000-seat venue.

This week San Diego Comic-Con's line-up is beginning to shape up as more panels, autograph signings, and special events are finally announced.
Yesterday, Comic-Con mainstays Walt Disney Studios and Marvel announced their panels, including Frankenweenie director Tim Burton, a special look at the Oz The Great and Powerful, the voice cast of Wreck-It Ralph, and a look inside Iron Man 3.

It's going to be a big weekend for geeks as San Diego Comic-Con 2012 badges finally go on sale.
For those who have already registered their Member ID (a new step added to streamline the process), badges go on sale Saturday (March 3) at 8am PST. Since there will likely be some chaos associated with the ticket sales, Comic-Con has put together a list of helpful hints for tomorrow's sale, which can be found HERE.
