We asked you for your "first time" stories and you delivered. The only requirement was that your first time story involve travel, in one way or another. Even Scarlett Johansson told us about her first time, but we didn't let her enter the competition.

Jaunted Giveaway: More Time for First Times

Hi first timers! As you may remember, the deadline for our Rough Guides first time contest is fast approaching. Because we are kind, considerate and caring, we're going to extend that deadline for a whole `nother week--just for you. Really, you can shower us with love and affection for this largesse at another date.

In any case, that means that there is still plenty of time to submit entries about your first time doing something while you traveled. As we've said before, there's tons of first time events to choose from, including a first time dealing with "debris" on the streets of Paris to the first time you pass out on the night tram in Prague. Jaunted Giveaway: First Times are Squishy

Hey first timers! Here's another reminder about Jaunted's giveaway that's running right now. If you submit an entry--something to do with a first time experience while traveling--you can win one of these three Rough Guides First Time series (Asia, Latin America, and Around the World). We only ask 250 words of you, not a lot when you're bored at work on a Tuesday, we can say that much. You probably cover that many words in an hour of instant messaging.

For example, we'll never forget our first time in Paris. The smell of freshly baking bread was in the air, the days were long, the light was that perfect color, and we stepped in dog shit more times than we care to count. Hey there, all you world travelers! It's another reminder from your faithful editor to send in all your first-time travel tales to us at Jaunted to enter in the Rough Guides (Winner will get one of these Rough Guides First Time guides: Asia, Latin America, and Around the World) giveaway. Jaunted Giveaway: Tell Us About Your First Time

Hey kids! Do you like free stuff? We know you do! What's more, we want to give it to you. On one condition: Tell us about your first time. We've even got a couple of Rough Guides to give away as prizes: First Time in Asia, First time in Latin America, and First Time Around the World.

Send us (via email or in the comments section of this post) tales of your first time, bonus points for photographic proof. It doesn't have to be, uh, that first time, although if you can explain how to do it in a Lada that might be deserving of some special award.

All we ask is that it's a first time experience related to travel, so it could be your first time seeing Angkor Wat or first time angering a local in a British pub--whatever you think we'll find entertaining. Each of the three winners will receive a Rough Guide book mentioned above, plus the winning stories will be posted here on Jaunted complete with byline. Good luck!
