Ricky Martin Tweets His Emergency Landing

We can't even believe we're writing these words, but Latinolicious singer Ricky Martin had some airplane trouble a few days ago, and tweeted all about it, prompting Perez Hilton to cover the incident. Only in 2009, you guys.

On a flight down to Puerto Rico on Sunday—we're assuming from his home in Miami, although he doesn't name an airport or airline—Ricky Martin discovered he wasn't in control of his life while flying, when his flight needed to make an emergency landing after some suspicious noises and cabin depressurization. He even got to witness a fuel dump as the aircraft reduced its weight for the emergency landing.

World's Best Chef Not Good Enough for Washed up Pop Star

Any food snob would give their left taste buds for a chance to dine at Alain Ducasse's eponymous restaurant at the Plaza Athénée in Paris. Sure, the City of Lights has plenty of restaurants that claim to be the best of the best, but really, when it comes to French dining, Ducasse is it.

Which is why we were so tickled by a Kitchen Rat item on Ricky Martin, which claims that when the Menudo star stayed at Athénée recently, he called down to let them know he wouldn't be needing Ducasse's services--but would instead be sending down his own private chef.

Even Ricky Martin Must Remove His Shoes

Don't lie, you listened to Ricky Martin back in 1999. But even being a pop star of some fame won't exempt you from security theater, as Martin was photographed last weekend at LAX taking his laptop out of his carry-on and removing his metrosexual sweater.

Subsequent photographs showed the Latin singer showing a truly unholy swath of bon-bon as he bent over to take his boots off. But we didn't publish that picture because we know it's early. You're welcome.
