Street View Now Available in France, Italy, Spain
The camera-laden vehicles of Google have been tooling around Europe lately, and the company has posted piles of new Street View imagery this week, with cities in Spain and Italy now available. (Shots of France went live earlier this month.)
In Spain, Barcelona, Madrid, Seville and Valencia are all street viewable now. We particularly like the views of the Sagrada Famiglia in Barcelona and the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia.
In Italy, Rome, Florence and Milan are the first to have on-the-street photos available, meaning you can check out stuff like the Colosseum and Milan's epic Piazza del Duomo. Sadly, Google doesn't appear to have any boat-mounted cameras: We're still waiting for "Street" View in Venice.

Where Is North Oaks, Minnesota?
For some reason, Gadling thinks an awesome alternative to high-priced road trips this summer is to tool around via Google Street View. We'd never trade in our rental car keys for a laptop, but it's true you can see a lot of the country thanks to the search giant. Except for one little neighborhood, that is.
North Oaks, a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota, asked Google earlier this year to remove Street View images of the nabe from its servers. After discovering that private residents own the roads in the 4,500-person community, Google had no choice but to comply.
This doesn't mean you have to drive to North Oaks to check it out, though. Google still has awesome satellite coverage of the area. And perhaps even topping that is mapping on Microsoft's Live.com: You can make out a barbecue grill on this deck.
