Traveling The Globe Instead Of Getting Globes

Miss the big party? Why not? While Hollywood got all glammed up for the Golden Globes, some stars opted to stay away--but not stay home.

The choice was easy for Victoria Beckham, who schlepped her brood of boys to the Colosseum in Rome to have them pose with some gladiators. And surprisingly, "The Hills"' Audrina Partridge, herself not a nominee either, chose Cabo--but she didn't end up getting married on a whim there.

Mischa Barton continued her attempt to be more like us by posting bikini pictures of herself in the Indian beach getaway Goa. But Steve Martin probably didn't want those photos of himself bodysurfing in St. Barts to get out. Ditto with Rihanna, who covered her face to hide a rumored cold sore while out shopping in Dublin, Ireland on tour.

Ironically, it was the Super World Travelers who set their course for La-La Land--nominees Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie took home no prizes except each other. And Pitt's mustache.

Big winners Sunday night at the Globes were "Slumdog Millionaire" and "Vicky Cristina Barcelona," which nabbed prizes for best drama and best musical or comedy. Kate Winslet snagged two acting awards for her lead role in "Revolutionary Road" and supporting role in "The Reader"; Mickey Rourke, Sally Hawkins and the late Heath Ledger were also honored. But everyone at the water cooler will be talking about how "The Wrestler" director Darren Aronofsky flipped off the cameras faster than NBC was able to blur it during Rourke's speech. Oh no! The children!

What's Christmas Without Funny Headgear?

Get 'em while they're young: David Beckham carries his antlered son Cruz to the Beckham holiday dinner at Claridges in London on Christmas Eve. Becks is moving teams to AC Milan next year, but if you think he and Posh are packing over their holiday vacation, you are so mistaken.

For stars with kids, the holiday was all about keeping the kiddos distracted until Santa arrives, from going ice-skating (Denise Richards and her daughters) to church (Gwen Stefani, Gavin Rossdale and their sons).

But some can't catch a break from their own problems: Lindsay Lohan used her MySpace page to broadcast the news that she and her siblings found out this Christmas they have a new half-sibling from their dad's infidelity in the '80s. At least she admitted afterward that she sounded too much like a Debbie Downer. That's something you don't want to find under the tree!

Heathrow's Brimming With Beckhams

When the Beckham clan touched down at Heathrow on Wednesday, it was a veritable head-covering hoedown, with Victoria rocking a fashion-forward Trilby and David sporting a high-perched pork pie.

Middle son Romeo James got in on the action, too, with his hoodie pulled up in true English fashion.

While there's no explaining the part of Victoria's outfit below the neck, the rest of the fam looked well dressed to deal with both the London cold and the frigid interior of an airplane. Layers are key, people, 'cause heaven knows you won't be getting a free blanket to cozy up with--not that you'd want to cozy up under a scratchy, recycled throw anyway.

Vegas Rumors Travel: Do Desperate Housewives Play Dominoes?

Slot machines and baccarat are so over: Eva Longoria is reportedly partnering with Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham for a night spot in Vegas that introduces the soon-to-be latest craze in betting games: Dominoes!

Longoria opened her own Hollywood restaurant "Beso" last year, where it not only failed to die but has thrived. But it was in looking for venues to launch Beso II in Vegas, she was introduced to the Beckhams, themselves looking for a toehold in the scene.

Apparently, the dominoes were Posh's idea, so celebrities can cry and run away from the tables when they lose just like at age 5. Will they also offer Connect Four?

San Francisco: David Beckham Doesn't Mind Looking at Junk

David Beckham's first trip to San Francisco didn't involve a ride on a cable car or a leisurely swim from Alcatraz Island. Rather, he was present to unveil a giant billboard of... himself, hanging on the downtown Macy's.

Becks is flabbergasted that people would go out of their way to visit an ad and take goofy pictures like the one above. Perhaps we should take him to a little place we like to call, "Times Square?"

It is true, however, that catching the Beckham billboard is easier than camping out with the paparazzi outside his Los Angeles home and cheaper than an LA Galaxy ticket. Let's chalk this one up to the hot weather.

Sports Travel: Another Season, Another Chance to See David Beckham Live

Football season in Europe is winding down this spring, but the much neglected Major League Soccer is just getting geared up in the States, and that means the David Beckham goodwill tour begins anew!

Wife Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham was on hand to watch Davey and the LA Galaxy lose a tough game against Toronto FC on Sunday. Kate Beckinsdale and her director husband were also in the stands, although how anyone spotted them is beyond our purview.

See the traveling show when the LA Galaxy comes to your town; they will face the Houston Dynamo and Chivas USA at home before getting on the road again to Salt Lake City at the start of May.

Music Travel: This Year's Spice Dropout

Well, that went well. Victoria Beckham has announced she is leaving the Spice Girls on the heels of the group's very successful world tour. Posh told a British tabloid she was the impetus to split up the Spice Girls the first time, and now she's anxious to get back to her other career as a fashion designer.

Those in the know (our sister, the Spice Girls super-fan) say Posh never had the strongest voice, so why would she want to stay in the band? She probably just doesn't want to leave David Beckham to be tempting eye candy for the ladies of LA. He's like a British Brad Pitt. But what Posh creations would you wear, if any?

Fashion Week Travel: Posh Hits Paris

Who wants to go shopping? Victoria Beckham, Claudia Schiffer and Dita Von Teese peep the looks presented by designer Roland Mouret at Paris' Fall 2008 Fashion Week. Mouret has dressed Scarlett Johansson, Rachel Weisz and Angelina Jolie for runway shows in the past.

American fashionistas, don't fret--New York's Mercedes Benz Fashion Week starts February 1st! The tents will take over Bryant Park like they always do, so be ready to stake out some real estate on Avenue of the Americas if you're looking for your own celeb sighting.

Spice Girls' Biggest Fans Stand Out at L.A. Show

We've known it was coming since June, and the moment has arrived: The Spice Girls are back on tour! And the reviews are... well, actually, we don't care about the reviews. We'd rather just bask in the glory of Posh, Baby, Scary, Sporty and Ginger out on the road again.

At one of their recent L.A. shows, though, two audience members almost attracted more attention than the show on stage: David Beckham, who was there watching his wife, and Tom Cruise, who's Beckham's new best LA friend. According to a concertgoer, when Beckham got up to use the bathroom, he and his entourage commandeered the entire bathroom. Or should we say, he pulled a Gyllenspoon? How rude!

If you go to the concert in any city, do send us your review.

Phew! Fashion Week Is Over: Back To PJs

For the celebs who attended Fashion Week, which just wrapped up in New York's Bryant Park, seeing the collections is like flipping through a catalog--though it doesn't hurt that they get to see and be seen from the front row. Victoria Beckham said "I'll take it" to the entire collection of Oscar de la Renta's after also stopping in at the Marc Jacobs show, but she wasn't the only star at the tents.

Anna Wintour, the famous Vogue editor who inspired The Devil Wears Prada, stopped in at multiple shows some days--when she wasn't hanging out with Roger Federer, that is. Naomi Watts came out to support the designer Marchesa. Star Jones lined up for Tracy Reese. Washington DC: He Starts! He Scores!

David Beckham's American vacation came to an end last night at DC's RFK Stadium. The golden boy finally started last night against DC United and started earning a chunk of his $250 million contract, scoring a goal in the first half and assisting on another. Ever the statesman of soccer, Beckham told reporters after the game, "We worked hard as a team and played hard as a team and we won as a team."

Wife Victoria is holding down the home fort, updating her blog and lining up a fat-suit cameo on the comedy series "Ugly Betty."

Posh and Becks Take British Airways To LAX

Posh Spice and Becks landed in LA yesterday to throngs of photographers who had been camping out at the LAX British Airways terminal. Heathrow to LAX is a long way, yet Britain's power couple still looked dashing as they disembarked.

The husband and wife team is hoping to take over American gossip columns the way they have dominated those in London for the past couple years. The paparazzi group Splash has already assigned six-person team to cover the couples first few weeks in the States.

However, what we really care about is the fact that Posh and Becks chose British Airways for their long haul flight. BA over Virgin huh?

Let's hope Posh didn't recline too far back on the long flight over--someone might punch her in the face.
