This Time Congress is Really Serious about Fixing TSA

Complaints about how TSA coordinates and conducts airline security are at an all-time low. But - predictably, since it's the holiday season, and since this happens every single year - November and December have furnished their share of spectacular security line incidents. The one that's gotten the most attention is the strip search of granny that may or many not have happened at JFK.
So Congress being Congress, our elected representatives are springing into action. Are they finally going to address what we've described - in the context of everyone from grandmothers to babies - as the fundamental problem with airport security? Are they finally going to thread the needle between random searches and security profiling, so that TSA agents no longer have to poke around when they can't properly scan children and the elderly?
