Polish Miracle, or Poor Urban Planning?

Wadowice, a small town in Poland, isn't too far from Koniakow, the village we know better as the home of sexy lingerie crocheted up by Polish grannies. But Wadovice is famous for a completely different reason--it's the birthplace of the late Pope John Paul II.

There's been a sudden burst of travelers to Wadowice of late, since word got around that a miracle occured. Blessed water was pouring out for all beneath a statue of JP. But read on before you change your travel plans. The local mayor has admitted that they installed the pipe that's suppplying this magical aqua-pura:

We didn't mean anything by it, it was just supposed to make the statue look prettier.
Oops. Seems miracles in Poland just aren't what they used to be. Better stick to the sexy underwear idea if you're looking for a reason to head there.
