Three Zoos for Visiting Baby Otters This Summer

The National Zoo, which is mere feet away from Jaunted's Washington DC offices, just put all 11 members of its otter family on exhibit. The clan of Asian small-clawed otters had been transported from Southern California to take up residence in the nation's capital, and the 9 pups are by all reports simply adorable. The Zoo has an extensive photo gallery confirming those reports and persuasively demonstrating that baby otters are indeed very small and very cute.
But what if you can't make it to Washington DC this summer but still want to see otter pups up close and personal? Or what if you can make it but don't want to because, like everybody else, you refuse to set foot in the city because DC's July and August are unlivable? You're in luck.

Iron Chef Michael Symon is Cooking Up a Little Something Special for Pittsburgh Airport
If you’re an Iron Chef it’s clear that you are more than half-way decent at cooking, but it also means that you have a passion for restaurants—especially those at the airport. Cat Cora is already slinging stuff in San Francisco and Houston, and now Michael Symon is planning to do something similar.
Bar Symon is headed to Pittsburgh International Airport as soon as this May, and the plan is to ensure that hungry travelers are well fed and are provided with something a little more substantial than a bag of pretzels and a Diet Coke. We’re most looking forward to taking a crack at the restaurant’s "Lola Burger," which will be topped with a fried egg and pickled red onions.

Will 'The Real World: Pittsburgh' Happen in 2012?
MTV's The Real World has called more than 20 cities homeincluding New York, Paris, London, Los Angeles, and Las Vegasover the past 26 seasons and now it looks like they may be adding Pittsburgh to that list.
Though there is no official confirmation from MTV about the show's 27th location, and the Pittsburgh Film Office has remained mum about the possibility, many local websites, Twitter reports, and even Wikipedia, seem to agree that The Real World: Pittsburgh is finally happening in 2012.

On Friday he told Jimmy Fallon, "My favorite sandwich is a Primanti Brothers' sandwich, it has the french fries in the sandwich and cole slaw."

Michelle Obama Begins Locavore Crusade at NYC's Gramercy Tavern
President Obama might be making his first presidential visit to Pittsburgh today for the G20 Summits, but before heading off for some serious work-time, Mr. and Mrs. Obama hit up New York again for a couple days, creating mass traffic confusion, but some actual excitement when Michelle lunched at the famed Gramercy Tavern restaurant.
In all fairness, Michelle had to eat alone since Barack was not in town for tourist activities like usual, but instead addressing the United Nations. Gramercy Tavern is an excellent choice for the First Lady, even if she may have gone because the chef behind the restaurant also catered the UN activities. It is upscale, rather exclusive and hard to get reservations for, and is known for being a cheerleader of American cuisine.
She didn't make reservations...

What to Stay:
Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel, is located in the restored Fulton Building at 107 6th St and is, apparently, fit for a President. Though price may be a little high for Pittsburgh, about $199 a night, the Renaissance has a prime location near the city's theaters, Heinz Field, PNC Park, and Mellon Arena.

We were remiss when we dedicated the Democratic presidential primary on April 22 to the city of Philadelphia. How could we neglect the rest of the great state? So here's a Heinz-Warhol edition to warm the hearts of western Pennsylvania.
We recommend not bowling or hunting with anyone you meet at one of these hot spots:
