View the photo larger HERE
Travel voyeurs, every last one of us! It's time for a new series wherein you show off what you're working with. That is, what necessities make it into your carry-on bag. Want to be featured? It's crazy simple. Shoot us an email with a nice big photo of your bag contents and a little bit about why they have pride of place in your carry-on. And of course include your Twitter handle if you so desire.
Next up in the series after peeking into the bags of illustrious travelers, we've got yet another: Barney Waters, the ever-airborne VP of Marketing for Palladium Boots.

What's In Your Train Case, Rebecca of VegasChatter?

Last season, we showed you what we (and some other notable travelers) pack in a carry-on. Now it's time to get personal. Your intrepid contributors here at Jaunted are opening our dopp kits and cosmetic cases to reveal what keeps us looking so damn good.
Hi, I'm Rebecca. Not the fabulous MsRebecca, but 702Becca from over on VegasChatter. I usually spend my time traveling from one exotic (replica) destination to another, from the Venetian to Mandalay Bay and from New York-New York to Monte Carlo. But, every once and a while, I depart Sin City for locations as close as San Diego (my most recent road trip) to as far away as the BVIs (my favorite vacay, ever. EVER).
The bag:
You'll probably still find this soft-sided train case on the shelf of your neighborhood Target as I just picked it up a few weeks ago for my jaunt to SD. Made by Contents and dubbed Tutti Fruity, this double-decker, zippered bag was the perfect in-betweenernot too big or too small (4.5" x 3" x 6.25"). I pack for myself and my five-year-old son, so size was important.

What's in Your Dopp Kit, Omri?
Last season, we showed you what we (and some other notable travelers) pack in a carry-on. Now it's time to get personal. The intrepid contributors here at Jaunted will open our dopp kits and cosmetic cases to reveal what keeps us looking so damn good.
As the Jaunted contributor who had to look up "Dopp Kit" when we were brainstorming this series, like Kyle I'm going to beg your indulgence regarding the utilitarian nature of my travel toiletries.
Even worse, and in the interest of full disclosure, I should also admit that I'm cheating a little bit. What you're looking at is the sum total (toiletry-wise) of what I try to pack every time I travel. That's different from what I actually remember to pack every time. Luckily we have a civilization, and that civilization has stores, and those stores sell toiletries. I can almost always get what I forget on the other side of the flight. And for those times when stores are closed, that's what hotel toothpaste and toothbrushes are for.

What's in Your Dopp Kit, Max?
Last season, we showed you what we (and some other notable travelers) pack in a carry-on. Now it's time to get personal. The intrepid contributors here at Jaunted will open our dopp kits and cosmetic cases to reveal what keeps us looking so damn good.
Hi, my name is Max Graham and I travel weekly all over the world to perform as a DJ. It's almost a fact that DJs spend more time in the air than anyone (outside airline employees) and coupling that with life in hotels and late nights means it’s important to care for my skin. I never used to do much more than a simple face wash, but recently I upgraded products and have noticed huge improvements, especially after weekends of excessive travel and dry air.
The bag: This one is from MUJI, a Japanese brand with an excellent selection of cool and functional accessories for travelers. The clear pouch allows for easy in and out from my carry on while navigating security, and it’s an easy wash too. I also have a cool black bag from United's First Class, but as it’s not see-through, it has instead become my hot sauce/gum/eye mask/Advil bag.

What's in Your Dopp Kit, Kyle?
Last season, we showed you what we (and some other notable travelers) pack in a carry-on. Now it's time to get personal. All this week, the intrepid contributors here at Jaunted will open our dopp kits and cosmetic cases to reveal what keeps us looking so damn good.
Hello, I’m Kyle—aka kjb. I’m willing to crack open the contents of my travel toiletry bag, but you need to promise not to laugh. Clearly I am way behind the curve when it comes to on-the-go skincare and general appearance upkeep. A trip to Sephora—or the man version of Sephora—just might be in store for me this weekend.
Honestly, it doesn’t take much to get me ready to go—just naturally handsome I guess—and I usually just swipe some of the typical hotel bathroom amenities to get me through the day. It basically boils down to my general hatred for the little plastic baggie, as that’s just one more thing to worry about. Sometimes I even smuggle my toothpaste through, but please don’t tell the TSA.

What's In Your Travel Cosmetic Case, Rebecca?
Last season, we showed you what we (and some other notable travelers) pack in a carry-on. Now it's time to get personal. All this week, the intrepid contributors here at Jaunted will open our dopp kits and cosmetic cases to reveal what keeps us looking so damn good.
Hi, I'm Rebecca aka MsRebecca. Like some of my fellow Jaunted eds opening up their cosmetic cases this week, you can often find me over at HotelChatter, where I tend to obsess over hotel toiletries and cute hotel doggies. After more than a decade in NYC, I now live in Miami Beach, which makes traveling to the Caribbean a breeze. So I try to do that a lot.
Like Juliana, I usually have another TSA-approved bag for liquids, some of which you see here. How much I pack depends on where I'm going; the general rule being if I'm hitting the beach, I need as much sunscreen as TSA deems legal, and less makeup. But this is a pretty good version of my ever-changing lineup, minus the shampoo and conditioner and shower gel, which I like to check out at my hotel. (Did I mention I tend to obsess over miniature-sized beauty products?)
The bag: Collette Dinnigan for Qantas. I think this was the First Class amenity kit some years back. Sadly, I didn't get it flying First--I was in Economy on one of my frequent flights to Sydney and a friend of a friend was serving in the cabin. He brought me some goodies like this kit to make my coach haul more bearable. Fun fact: I once saw Miranda Kerr pull the same Collette Dinnigan for Qantas case out of her Prada purse backstage at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Now, she's a Qantas Ambassador.

What's In Your Travel Cosmetic Case, Juliana?
Last season, we showed you what we (and some other notable travelers) pack in a carry-on. Now it's time to get personal. All this week, the intrepid contributors here at Jaunted will open our dopp kits and cosmetic cases to reveal what keeps us looking so damn good.
Hi, I'm Juliana. You might know me from my hotel adventures over at HotelChatter and VegasChatter. If you do, then it's not surprising that my travel cosmetics case is a Gilchrist & Soames cosmetic bag that I got while staying at the Flamingo Las Vegas a few years back. You can see what the bag used to look like before I mucked it up right here.
Keep in mind, these are just my cosmetics. My travel toiletries go in a separate bag (usually a TSA-approved baggie) so that's probably a separate post. But this is a main staple of my everyday purse.
The bag: As I mentioned, a clear case from Gilchrist & Soames. I need a clear bag so I can see what's in it without having to actually open it up. It's quite handy for when you are driving (I live in LA) and need to grab your eyeliner or lipstick real quick.

What's in Your Dopp Kit, Rayme?
Last season, we showed you what we (and some other notable travelers) pack in a carry-on. Now it's time to get personal. All this week, the intrepid contributors here at Jaunted will open our dopp kits and cosmetic cases to reveal what keeps us looking so damn good.
Rayme, here! Just like another Jaunted writer, I will be in Bali, Indonesia for a few days. In fact, by the time you read this, I will have already landed. This is a quick trip for me, so I don't need heaps of product and some samples work perfectly.
The bag: Freitag dopp kit. If you are not privy to the awesomeness of Freitag, sit back and enjoy. These bags are made in Switzerland from recycled shipping truck tarps and will last forever! Super durable and super cool. This one has an internal pocket and a little metal mirror on the inside.

What's In Your Travel Cosmetic Case, Cynthia?
Last season, we showed you what we (and some other notable travelers) pack in a carry-on. Now it's time to get personal. All this week, the intrepid contributors here at Jaunted will open our dopp kits and cosmetic cases to reveal what keeps us looking so damn good.
Hi, I'm Cynthia. I'm in Bali, Indonesia right now, at the start of a nearly month-long trip hitting 3-4 cities in Southeast Asia. This is my cosmetic case, which contains a little more than what I'd usually bring, considering the next several weeks will see me in a variety of situations, including work meetings, beach club chillaxing, nice and not-so-nice meals and many planes/trains/buses/taxis/dusty walks.
The bag: a Singapore Airlines First Class kit from Kiehl's. It's black, it's got a slim profile with minimal pockets andbonus·it's got a tiny side handle.

Add Bedbug-Killing Spray To Your Packing List
If you're afraid of bedbugs biting during a hotel stay, go on the offensive against the blood-sucking critters. You can avoid places known for hosting the pests by running your hotel through the website www.bedbugregistry.com, or you can bring some reinforcements like Rest Easy, an all-natural spray that's supposed to keep bed bugs at bay.
There is reason for concern, as bedbug outbreaks are increasing at hotels, according to Crain's New York, which reported:
Last year the number of bed bug complaints from New Yorkers calling the city’s 311 hot line spiked 34% to 9,213 from the previous year. This year, the problem is not any better, according to companies that are called by apartment buildings and hotels to get rid of the pests.

The Ultimate Packing List for Costa Rica

All this week, Lost Girl Amanda Pressner will be bringing us reports from her recent trip to Costa Rica with her entire family. Any questions about traveling to Costa Rica or family-oriented activities to do while you're there? Let us know.
When I returned from my yearling round-the-world adventure with The Lost Girls back in 2007, I swore that I’d retire my trusty blue Snowgum backpack and only travel with a rolling suitcase from now on. Fast forward two years to July 2009, and you’ll see me digging around my aunt’s basement in upstate New York, trying to find the only bag I really trust to get me and my three weeks worth of clothing—across rives, through jungles and overnight buses in Costa Rica.
The first time that I had to traipse through two feet of seawater to board a boat that took me across the Gulf of Papagayo from one destination to the next, I realized that it would have been near impossible to accomplish the task with a big suitcase on wheels. Not getting rid of Big Blue was the best travel decisions I ever made (that and running away from an insane cab driver in Vietnam, but that’s another story).
While living out of a backpack for 12 months straight got pretty old on my last big trip, it did teach me one important life lesson—how to pack effectively (if not exactly lightly). Some may look at the list below and think “holy crap, girl…that’s way too much stuff!” but I truly did utilize each and everything below at least once, and usually many times during my recent Costa Rica trip.
