Nicky Hilton's Hotel Dreams on Life Support

A tipster over at HotelChatter, our big sister site, is reporting that a tall, dark haired girl in giant shades left the continuously under construction future site of Nicky O in a huff today.

So unless Nicky Hilton has a Padme type decoy clone, it sounds like all is not fine in the world of Nicky O South Beach.

Shocking, right? This project has been more hype than reality since the very beginning, and earlier this week, developer Robert Falor seemed to be preparing his bail out strategy when talking to the Miami Herald.

No official word from the Nicky O peeps yet, but celebrity hotel projects are never the slam dunks they appear to be on Letterman (scroll down).

Nicky Hilton Suing Over Hotel Chain

Future hotelier Nicky Hilton, who's been developing her "Nicky O" boutique hotel chain for quite some time now, is already suing the man who she enlisted to help her with the chain's concept, Eneliko Smith.

Hilton was apparently shocked when she discovered that Smith had filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office for exclusive rights to use the name "Nicky O." Smith claims that he actually created the concept for her and Nicky then took the idea to another company to move forward with.

We know, hard to believe, someone actually did the work for her, and now she wants to be sure she gets the cash.  The first "Nicky O" hotel is slated to open early next year.

We can't believe it either, but apparently Nicky Hilton didn't really design her Nicky O signature brand of hotels. Much like her sister Paris is not really an heiress to millions upon millions, Nicky is not really an interior design expert.

Jaunted: Was it just last week that Ian Schrager banned Paris Hilton?

HotelChatter: You bet!

Jaunted: What happened? I heard he banned her and "her ilk".

HotelChatter: He sure did. Of course, he let in Winona Ryder--shoplifter--and Lil' Kim--convicted perjurer. But not Paris.

Jaunted: Wow, that's impressive on her part. Maybe she's too clean--no convictions. Yet.

HotelChatter: It's not the only place that she's been banned, either. There's a Hitlon in Scotland that banned her, too.

Jaunted: Banned by her own family?

HotelChatter: Oh, they don't own the hotels anymore. Just Nicky, who's opening her own brand of hotels in the fall. At least she'll be able to stay there.

Jaunted: Yeah, if Nicky banned her, that would be some accomplishment.
