Is This The Most Gruesomely Named Pub In All Of London?

So let's say that you're doing the tourist thing in London and you've just walked up the slight hill behind the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, and you're perhaps thirsty for a pint. So you turn the corner onto Great Tower Street and stumble upon what looks to be the perfect pub, except it's got quite the gruesome name: The Hung Drawn And Quartered.

Now we thought we knew some pretty funny pub names {The Bung Hole, The Nobody Inn), but this one sticks out as something else. It's got us wondering: Are there other London pubs withe similarly morbid names?

Can you beat the "Hung Drawn And Quartered?" Let us know what you've spotted!

Winehouse May Be Gone, But The Hawley's Still Rocking

Since she’s been menacing the Caribbean since December, Amy Winehouse hasn’t graced London with her presence for a while. Most of us are rejoicing that we don’t have to see her nightly escapades in the papers every day. But it’s a bit of a blow for The Hawley Arms. The Camden pub is her local drinking hole, and whenever Amy’s around, it’s guaranteed to get mentioned in the press.

But for us lot, Amy’s absence could be a good thing. Because it means that, instead of being crammed with journalists feigning nonchalance as they stalk the Winehouse, you might even get a seat.

While all of my friends spent Thanksgiving trying to broker peace amongst their families, I trekked off to London for a week of drinking (um, and sightseeing, too...honestly...) with my friends. In the name of research, no pub went ignored, no restaurant went unsampled. It's a tough job, but...
