Jack Bauer Will Save NYC in Season Eight

After six days in Los Angeles and a day in D.C., Jack Bauer will be spending Day 8 in the Big Apple. EW broke the news last week that "24"’s eighth season will take place in New York City. Despite the fact that the show will be set in NYC, most of the episodes will still be shot in Los Angeles with a few exterior scenes filmed in New York City beginning next month.

Even though they haven’t started shooting "24" yet, Kiefer Sutherland is already in New York filming “Twelve” with Chace Crawford. The movie is an adaptation of Nick McDonnell’s novel about a Manhattan high school dropout-turned-drug dealer, whose cousin is brutally murdered and his best friend is arrested for the crime. Is anyone else noticing a pattern? It seems Kiefer is drawn to projects that have numbers in the title.

Jack Bauer Travels In The Shadows Of Dracula

A reader of the gossip site TMZ got mighty spooked the other day when he asked for a light outside a bar in Bucharest, Romania. Who came to his rescue? None other than Kiefer Sutherland, dressed in black! The "24" star acknowledged what a treat it was to come across other English speakers, then vanished in the night.

Sutherland is shooting a remake of a Korean horror movie called "Into the Mirror." For more Romanian experiences that give you the willies, we recommend the Hotel Lebada, a former Roman fortress and prison located on the spooky St. Pantelimon Island. Most people looking to get freaked out in the region will head for the Carpathian mountains on tours like Haunted Attraction Magazine's Dracula tour or the Company of Mysterious Journeys. Maybe next season on "24," Jack will hunt down and kill the descendants of Dracula!

Keifer Sutherland Gives Bar Two Karate Kicks Up

Keifer Sutherland, shocked employees of the Ye Rustic Inn in California when he entered with a group of rowdy friends demanding to start a tab at 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning. When presented with the bill, Sutherland claimed that his wallet had been stolen and he told the staff, "I promise I'll come back and pay." Then, according to witnesses, he proceeded to do a series of karate kicks in the middle of the floor. A fan of the actor agreed to buy him several rounds of J&B on the rocks, and after devouring a plate of chicken wings and throwing the bones on the floor, Sutherland left without tipping.

Last month it was "redecorating a London hotel", this month it is "how to get drunk without paying the tab in LA".  Looks like Keifer is ready to launch his own travel guide series--"Travelin' Drunk".

For what its worth regular patrons seem to really like Ye Rustic, though not everyone shows their appreciation by doing a series of gleeful karate kicks.
