The Glastonbury Music Festival is perhaps better known for its epic mess than its gritty performances. But this year's fest was remarkably dry, bringing the stars out in record numbers. There was rain, don't doubt it, just less than usual, so Kate Moss' boots looked more like a fashion statement than a meteorological necessity.
Since it's a huge weekend for holiday travel, we shouldn't be surprised to see so many celebrities passing through airports themselves, even if they don't necessarily celebrate Thanksgiving.
Sienna Miller and her current flame Rhys Ifans got into Heathrow yesterday after a fervid party weekend (in which Miller and Kate Moss nearly came to blows over Ifans) and looked like they needed the rest of the week off. (Maybe they were just a little soused.)
Any way we can get a TSA ban on Rhys' ridiculous shoes? Bet they're much harder to remove at security than Sienna's flats. His man-bag can stay, but we reserve the right to laugh at it.
In an industry based on people telling other people how to dress, at least one model is moving to the other side of the table. Kate Moss's long-awaited clothing collection goes on sale today in Britain's Topshop chain -- a precursor to our Forever 21 and H&M which established itself as the fashion spot in the '90s. Last night on trendy Oxford Street, some 500 rabid fans waited in line for a preview of the designer duds described by their creator as "edgy but playful," according to Bloomberg News.
Moss even made an appearance at the preview, despite allegations by the New York Post, among others, that the entire collection copies clothes Moss has worn in the past. (We mean, isn't that the idea?) Not sure if they gave her the $10,000 fellow supermodel Linda Evangelista used to require to get out of bed, but Moss was already paid a cool 3 million pounds ($5.9 million) to create the line and model it, too, so maybe that was incentive enough.
Can't get your passport in time? Moss's line will also be making its bows at Barneys in New York starting on May 9 -- which is lucky, because the Topshop website is being a little fickle.
Supermodel Kate Moss took her junkie boyfriend to the smartest place a junkie can holiday...Thailand! She and ex-Libertine rocker Pete Doherty got 'married' in Phuket this weekend, though the legal validity of the ceremony is doubted. The tabloids are reporting that they'll tie the knot for real in London later this month.
Kate most likely footed the bill for their stay at Amanpuri, an Aman property where a five-bedroom villa runs about $9000 a night--pretty standard for the chain. The resort was rumored to be riddled with celeb guests at the time--also pretty standard for the chain. Another secret celebrity-friendly Aman outpost in the region is Amanpulo in the Philippines.
Given the good judgement she's shown recently, we trust Kate will drag Pete to Bali next.
