Jennifer Hudson hit LAX recently, but not with a $5,000 Louis Vuitton like the kind her character has in the "Sex and the City" movie. No, the former "American Idol" star sports a backpack along with her minidress, short hoodie and leggings. Hey, if you're only packing one bag, a backpack could be your best option--even if it isn't the most stylish.

Is that a paper ticket in her hand? Nah, probably just a boarding pass. The death of the paper ticket is supposed to save airlines over $3 billion each year according to USA Today, but of course that means we'll be buying that many more printer cartridges.

The Jennifer Hudson Victory Tour Stops At Burger King

Where: E. 87th St. and State St. [map], Chicago, il, United States

When you're writing your Oscar speech, make sure to think about how you're going to thank the little people. Newly minted Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson didn't bother to thank "American Idol" for giving her the big break that (basically) got her the "Dreamgirls" role, and in response mean man Simon Cowell called her out on it. Hudson's defense? She can't thank everyone! Or as she put it, "If I'd been any better at my job when I was at Burger King in my middle teens, I wouldn't be here either, so should I thank them, too?"

Maybe Hudson should stop by her old franchise (East 87th Street and State Street in Chicago) sometime: Burger King displayed a remarkable amount of class by providing Hudson with free meals for life. Be sure to stop by and pick up some Whoppers (one for your Oscar and one more for the road) on your way to the A. Philip Randolph Pullman Porter Museum, commemorating the Pullman factory town that once stood nearby (and named for the union leader that got the porters to organize).
