The Cannes Film Festival kicks off tomorrow with a screening of The Great Gatsby, and the only thing more glamorous than the parties on the big screen, will be the ones happening outside.

Leonardo DiCaprio might have said best when he compared going to Cannes to entering the helicopter scene in La Dolce Vita. "It's an insane experience," he explained. "The entire town is turned into a red carpet. Every hotel is a premiere. But at the same time, it is the mecca for the world to celebrate filmmaking and bold filmmaking."

We hope you’re familiar with the story of Nathan Sawaya, the lawyer-turned-artist who ditched his legal career for his true passion: playing with LEGOs. Nathan has taken the humble building block we all know from when we were little and used it to create pieces of art to delight all ages, making his exhibit The Art Of The Brick a runaway success.

As part of its global tour, The Art Of The Brick will be hitting New York next month, opening on June 14 at Discovery Times Square. Tickets are already on sale, but first we have a preview for you today, having had a chance to check it out in Singapore, where it’s on its current run in the Art Science Museum at the giant Marina Bay Sands complex.

We’ll be honest—we’re way behind in our planning for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games over in Sochi, Russia. The event is less than a year away, so if you’ve been waiting to finalize some plans, now’s probably a good time to get the ball rolling.

Airlines and hotels have been taking reservations for quite some time, but that still doesn't cover the most important part: how to score tickets! (Otherwise you’ll just be hanging around watching the Today show on location, and that’s not really worth the trip to Russia.)

CoSport is the only authorized Olympic ticket reseller in the United States, and they just announced some new ticket and ticket package options. Their website does a good job showing off what’s available, but just don’t get your heart set on anything in particular—some stuff is already sold out.

How to Get Tickets to the Preakness

Now that the Kentucky Derby is in the rearview mirror and the mint juleps have worn off it’s time to look forward to the Preakness Stakes. We’re just shy of two weeks away from the ponies doing their thing in the second leg of the race for the Triple Crown, so now is as good time as any to start planning to check things out in person.

This year’s race is scheduled to do its thing at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore on May 18, and if you want to see things in person rather than on television—you’re in luck—there’s still tickets available. There’s way more options from which to choose when compared to the Kentucky Derby, as you can even get access to the Preakness InfieldFest featuring performances by Pitbull and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

If you’re looking for a good time we’d probably recommend the $70 Infield Mug Club tickets, as it includes all you care to drink beer. Just be sure to watch the cash in your wallet, as we don’t want you to bet it all on the long shot.

If you’ve got your oversized hats and mint juleps ready, then you’re probably aware that the Kentucky Derby is set to do its thing this weekend on Saturday, May 4. Sure you can head over to the local gambling establishment to place your bet, but we’re thinking that it might be a little more exciting to check things out in person.

Thankfully there are still tickets available for this weekend’s events, and things are actually somewhat affordable if you’re just looking to mix and mingle in the general admission area. You probably won’t get to see any celebrities here, but standing room only tickets can be yours for just $40 per person.
