When it comes to Halloween, Heidi Klum is the hostess with the mostest. Her legendary parties bring out celebs like Kim Kardashian, Michelle Trachtenberg, John Legend, and Brooklyn Decker, not to mention some over-the-top costumes.
This year Heidi is moving her 12th annual Halloween bash from NYC to Las Vegas for the first time. The party will be held at TAO on Saturday, October 29 at 10pm with DJ Questlove providing the perfect soundtrack.
Heidi Klum was spotted kissing Seal goodbye at LAX Sunday before boarding a plane to NYC. Heidi headed to the Big Apple to attend last night's CFDA Awards, where The Council of Fashion Designers of America celebrates the biggest names in fashion, and Klum was included with these stars, without regard to what Karl Lagerfeld says.
Since Heidi was taking along some special cargokids Leni and Henryshe will probably appreciate the announcement LAX made recently when they unveiled a $7 million radar system designed to eliminate aircraft runway incursions. LAX is the third airport to install the radar, after Dallas/Fort Worth and San Diego.
Now that LAX is safer, both you and Heidi can feel even better about taking advantage of the great deals to Hawaii this fall. The LA Times Travel Blog found fares between Los Angeles (LAX) and Honolulu (HNL) as low as $214 round trip, including tax, through Dec. 16 via Airfare Watchdog. Similar deals exist on Travelocity, where fares run around $235; no doubt Klum needs a vacation after all the dissing on her lately.

Too much vacation! Heidi Klum's daughter Leni flops on the ground at Legoland in classic kid meltdown mode. But come on, you loved Legos yesterday!
Klum and her mom took her three kids to the Southern California amusement park over the weekend for 2-year-old Johan's birthday. While not as well known as the nearby Disneyland, Legoland is actually much better for kids because it's smaller--and for parents because compared to the house of Walt, the shopping opportunities are confined to one area. Plus, we're suckers for miniature cities.

Back to being yourselves! Heidi Klum enjoys the one day a year she has license to be ugly as the goddess Kali at her 9th annual Halloween bash, held at NYC nightclub 1Oak. "Project Runway" winner Christian Siriano was there dressed as Cruella De Vil, Pink was a clown, and Heidi's husband Seal went as some kind of Fu Manchu overlord... we can't figure it out.
Cute couples made sure their costumes were a matched pair: Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon went to the party they hosted their party on Thursday night dressed as milk and cookies, and Hilary Duff somehow got boyfriend Mike Comrie to dress up like Brangelina with her. (Complete with American Girl brood!) And the "Today" show hosts mostly got together on a fairy tale theme, incorporating Pinocchio (Meredith), the Gingerbread Man (Al), Humpty Dumpty (Matt) and Cinderella (Ann).
And just like in the larger world, the default for Hollywood starlets was anything sexy: Lauren Conrad was a flapper at a party in Vegas (though we loved Lo's Little Red Riding Hood better!), former Danity Kane singer Aubrey O'Day was the Little Mermaid and Kim Kardashian dressed as Wonder Woman. But the costume that garnered the biggest "awww"s? Britney Spears' boys, who trick-or-treated with dad Kevin Federline as a pair of wee bumblebees.

What's your wardrobe budget like? Disney kept woman Miley Cyrus checks out the looks at the Christian Audigier American Lord show at Los Angeles Fashion Week on Wednesday night.
Cyrus was there to cheer on model boyfriend Justin Gaston, but there were plenty of other fashionistas to scope out the clothes: Heidi Klum scored a front-row seat and later asked the designer to appear as a guest judge on "Project Runway," should the next season ever be released from its legal bounds.
Next season, they might have to get on a plane: Event organizer IMG and photo studios Smashbox recently announced this was their last year organizing LA Fashion Week, which even in its best years is a small affair compared to New York's eight-day fashion orgy. Some designers have already sought out alternate venues for their shows before, so fashion will live--just maybe in several different venues.

Say Käse! Heidi Klum, husband Seal and children Leni, Henry and Johan took a break on the Spanish Steps in Rome this week along with Klum's parents, sister and brother. Whew! No wonder they all stopped for a photo shoot before playing in the La Barcaccia fountain opposite the steps.
With Heidi's show "Project Runway" currently on the air in the US, the hostess (who also helms "Germany's Next Top Model") probably found it prudent to vacation now and work later.
But when Klum moves to LA this fall for the sixth season of "Runway," she and her brood might be turning west instead of east for their family getaways--cuts down on crabby-kid plane time!

Our very own Lost Girl Amanda is crashing the tents and sent us this up-to-the-second report.
Shame on us for believing that Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is nothing more than a big sparkly circus of superficial air-kissing, over-inflated editoral egos, psudeo-celebrity photo ops and eating disorders on parade.
As we learned this morning, the organizers of Fashion Week are totally all about raising awareness for women's health issues. That's why they graciously permitted the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute to commandeer precious tent space and a prime time catwalking slot to present their The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection Fashion Show.
We managed to nab a decent pair of seats and pretended to look unimpressed by supermodel and "Project Runway" host Heidi Klum as she strutted past us in a custom-made Marc Jacobs shift dress with red and black block panels.
Also walking, among others, were Joss Stone in Max Azaria, Allison Janney in Donna Karan, Ana Ortiz in Badgley Mischka, Ashanti in Tracy Reese, and Cheryl Hines in Catherine Malandrino. Liza Minelli even made an appearance!
Sadly, only Heidi's dress will be making its way around the country in the The Heart Truth Road Show. Unfortunately for the rest of America, she won't be traveling with it.
