New Passport Forms Heart Your Two Moms (or Dads)
It's small, but very notable: US passport forms for children have been changed in order to accommodate families with two dads or two moms, by changing the "mother" and "father" headings to include "parent 1" and "parent 2." The new forms became available January 3, meaning 2011 begins just another governmental agency's acceptance (the Department of State, in this case) of same-sex couples. They may not be able to get married yet in all states, but being able to sign on as official parents of their children is a major step.
The Global Cocktails blog has quotes from the Family Equality Council in appreciation:

Will Nepal be 2011's Gay Travel Hot Spot?
Nepal may just position itself as this year's travel hot spot, and not just because of its crazy 157-day hike on the Great Himalaya Trail that starts in February. It is vying to be a vacation destination for gay couples.
The country gave it a go in 2009 and became the first South Asian nation to decriminalize homosexuality. Since then, Nepal has okayed same-sex marriage and is seeking to ensure gay rights in the new constitution.

SAS Airlines to Hold a Contest for the World's First In-Flight Gay Marriage
It's a world's first! Just wait to hear what exactly "it" is...
(Same-sex) Love is in the air this winter aboard SAS. The Scandinavian airline is hoping to host the world’s first same-sex wedding in the air aboard one of their A340s between Stockholm and New York on December 6. To find the lucky couple for the mid-air nuptials, the longtime gay-friendly airline is launching a major social media contest campaign titled “Love is in the air.” Cute. Not fierce. But cute.
The airline has partnered with VisitSweden and Stockholm Gay & Lesbian Network to offer one European couple and one American couple the chance to get married aboard SAS flights and honeymoon packages—the European couple be married aboard the outbound flight to the U.S. and will get to vacation there, and the American couple will be feted on the way back to Sweden.

Argentina Legalizes Gay Marriage, Becomes Next Destination Wedding Hotspot
Today, Argentina legalized same-sex marriage, making it the first South American country (and a very Catholic one, at that) to do so. Aside from this being excellent for locals who are ready to take their relationship to the final step, we immediately thought: destination weddings!
For gay couples in America, the typical idea was to run for the border to Canada, have a destination wedding there where it is legal, and head back down into the States as a married pair. And then more US states came over to the rainbow side by also legalizing same-sex marriage, andignoring the California crisissome of the world's biggest powers, too.

It's All Good in Philly's Gayborhood
In the heart of Philadelphia's Center City sits a quaint neighhorhood of shady streets and attractive shopfronts. No, it's not the upscale "Gold Coast"-sort of area, but it is the Gayborhood.
Bordered on the north by Walnut Street, south by Pine Street, east by 11th and west by Juniper Street, the Gayborhood is a village of gay-friendly shops, bars and restaurants. Although it was hopping during Pride Week in June as you can imagine, the real summer action has just begun, with two weeks of this month set aside for the "There's No Place Like Home" two-week-long block party.
From now until July 24th, you can follow the yellow brick road 32 rainbow street signs that were just unveiled this last weekend when we were in town. From there, it's all photo exhibits, special film screenings, and even a discount card for the Gayborhood businesses and bars.

Party Dispatch: Pam Ann Takes Off with JetPRIDE
Back in April, we gave you a preview of JetBlue’s planned JetPRIDE flight from San Francisco to Long Beach in honor of Long Beach Pride, and this last weekend, the big gay flight totally happened and we were absolutely onboard.
The special quickie flight, given the flight number 1969 in honor of the Stonewall Riots and the birth of the Pride movement, featured pink drinks and a hostess with the mostest: Australian comedienne Pam Ann.
After the jump, check out our play-by-play coverage—including videoof the goings on, complete with cocktails and cupcakes, gift bags, and a giveaway contest courtesy of JetBlue’s Pride partner, Joie De Vivre Hotels.

Jetblue Will Pour Pink Cocktails with Pam Ann for a Special JetPRIDE Flight
While San Francisco's Gay Pride Celebration in June is like the mecca of Pridefests, one airline is getting the pre-partying started in mid-May by encouraging San Franciscans to come onboard JetPRIDE and head down to Long Beach, CA for Long Beach pride.
Unlike previous themed flights, Jetblue's Flight 1969 from SFO to LGB (interesting airport code) is open to the public, and it'll be packed with plenty of entertainment, gift bags, games and pink cocktails. The flight departs SFO on May 14 at 12:30pm and arrives to LGB two hours later, but we dare say that you won't want to leave after hearing that Australian comedian Pam Ann will be the flight's honorary purser.
More details and prices, after the jump!

London Gets A Gay Traveler Info Center With Boring Website
Nepal as a gay travel destination was something of a surprise. But the fact that London has just opened up an LGBT Tourist Information Office isn't too out of the blue – but it's a good thing just the same.
The office director says the reason for the center is to show that "London's exciting LGBT life is the best in the world". There might be a few cities which would beg to differ, but you'd have to agree that a huge city like London definitely has plenty for everyone.
But – here's a pretty big "but" – the office's website doesn't show much about the exciting LGBT life in London yet. Sure, it's early days, but the site's just a simple Wordpress blog with hardly anything on it, and really not ready to be launched, in our humble opinion.
