The Details on Tomorrow's Ticker Tape Parade for the NY Giants' Super Bowl Victory
In between all the commercials and snacking there was a pretty good football game last night, and when the final whistle was blown it was the New York Giants on top. They’re the Super Bowl champs—for the second time in four years—and now New York is ready to welcome their team home for a little bit of a party and parade. Mayor Bloomberg is putting the final touches on this and that, but we do know that the celebration is taking place on Tuesday.
Late last night New York City officials released the plans for the ticker tape parade, so if you’re going to call out sick tomorrow, start planting some subtle cues this afternoon at the office. All the fun will take place in Lower Manhattan, as the parade is scheduled to do its thing beginning at Battery Place and Washington Street around 11am. After that Eli Manning, Victor Cruz, and Jason Pierre-Paul will continue north up through the Canyon of Heroes towards Worth Street as they greet throngs of well wishers.

American Airlines Will Be Comping Your In-Flight Booze and WiFi, For Now
Those shiny metal airplanes from American Airlines aren’t having the best start to 2012; you knowbecause of that pesky bankruptcy and the surrounding financial issues. However, American Airlines is still moving full speed ahead as it looks to grab travelers from all over the globe. Their latest move probably costs some money—they’re giving stuff away—but in the end the bean counters must think it’s worth it.
American Airlines is pouring complimentary booze on all of their international flights, and the in-flight party starts on February 1. Passengers sitting in the main cabin—also known as coach—will get beer and wine free of charge on most flights between the United States and Asia, Europe, and parts of South America. Other airlines like Delta already offer a similar service, and of course back in the good ol’ days of air travel this was always the case.

A Travel Ninja Trick to Squeeze More Minutes from In-Flight WiFi
We've got bad news, good news and awesome news.
The bad news: The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas is wrapping up and will end tomorrow, January 13. That means no more fun gadget announcements and breathless product release liveblogs on your favorite tech news sites.
The good news: Thanks to CES, Ford teamed up with in-flight WiFi provider Gogo to offer a free 30 minutes of WiFi on flights heading into or out of Vegas during the CES dates. Sure, that means the free internet access from 35,000-feet comes to a halt tomorrow, but wait...

National Parks are Free for All This Weekend
In the way long ago past of 2011, we may have mentioned that there were some free entry days coming to National Parks across the United states in 2012. Well the future is here—this weekend—so pack up the minivan, Prius, or station wagon and visit your favorite national park on the house.
Uncle Sam is opening the gates to all his parks as part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend, so it might be a good idea to do something nice—like donating your time or money—rather than just freeloading a free hike. The admission fees are waived January 14-16.

Three NYC Museum Art Exhibitions to See Right Now (Like ASAP)
· Carsten Höller: Experience at the New Museum
Closes; January 22.
Admission: $16 Adults / $14 Seniors / $12 students
Not gonna liea few years back when Höller exhibited at the Tate Modern, we nearly flew to London just for the exhibit. Alas he's now finally mounted a grand show in NYC, complete with his famous multi-story flume slides (and yes, you may ride down them). Also to be seen (and experienced) are a sensory-deprivation tank and goggles that turn everything upside-down. The exhibit has been so popular that the museum raised admission, but stillgo.

Tuk-Tuk Taxis Have Arrived in Paris (and They're Free)
There’s plenty of cheap—and electric—cars roaming the streets in and around Paris these days, but now there’s a new type of public transportation arriving in the City of Lights. Tuk-Tuk taxis are most common over in Southeast Asia, but a fleet of free-to-use vehicles are now available to tourists and locals alike.
An optimistic entrepreneur has brought 20 or so of the vehicles into town, and there’s like 150 different places to jump aboard around the city. The operation is newly up and running, and the taxis are scheduled to do their thing each and every day of the week.

Tweet at Toronto Airport and They'll Deliver Christmas Carols to an Arriving Flight
Believe it or not, airlines do like to show they care during the holiday season, some more than others of course. For example, Southwest will snap family photos right at your gate and Virgin Atlantic will be giftwrapping at several airports. Well, add an entire airport into the holiday cheer as Toronto-Pearson International offers to send carolers to meet the flight of your friends or family.
Yes, carolers will serenade the arriving passengers on a flight, if you tweet them to do so. Here's the details:
· The flight must be domestic and arriving to Toronto-Pearson between now and December 24.
· The flight must arrive between 3pm-8pm, except for the 24th when the hours are 6am-11am.
· Tweet @torontopearson with the person's name, flight number and flight date.
· Sit back and wait for the eventual "OMG you are crazy that was crazy" tweet from the friend or family who gets "FA LA LA LA LA" belted at them.

Free WiFi Scheduled to Arrive in London This Week, More to Follow in 2012
London is the best when it comes to all kinds of stuff, but the city is unfortunately not too great when it comes to finding free WiFi. It just really hasn’t made the push for large hotspots or other all-encompassing connection options, but that might be changing soon. This is especially good for those visiting from abroad, because those overseas roaming charges—especially for data—can quickly ruin your travel buzz.
It sounds like Nokia and the city are working on a plan to bring hotspots to several popular areas around the city. In total there are plans to bring WiFi to 12 different spots including places like Oxford Street, Sloane Square and beyond. The first installations will be part of a pilot plan, but eventually the goal is to expand elsewhere.

Lace Up Your Skates for Southwest Airlines' Downtown Denver Ice Rink
It’s the most wonderful time of the year for Southwest Airlines, and we’re not just talking about their plans to giveaway free holiday photos and Santa snapshots. Now the holiday spirit is moving to the Mile High City, as the airline and the city is bringing back the Rink at Skyline Park for the 2011 season.
Denver already has its own Southwest Porch—complete with pizzas and drinks—but now the rink is back to help you burn off some of those mozzarella induced calories. The skating is open to one and all, as long as you can get yourself over to 16th and Arapahoe streets.

Bust Out the Ugly Sweater! Southwest Will Snap Holiday Photos at the Airport
Halloween is now officially over, so that’s means it’s time for Christmas. Sure there’s Thanksgiving—and a lot of shopping—to do first, but in the minds of retailers and marketers the holidays have more than arrived. It’s true for Southwest Airlines and Microsoft, as the two are again joining together to snap plenty of holiday photographs at an airport near you.
Beginning on December 13, the airline and Windows are teaming up to offer free holiday photos at 21 different airports around the country. That means that along with dealing with flight delays, expensive fares, and assorted fees, you’ll also have to bring along an ugly seasonal sweater to make your holiday complete.
