Annals Of Things We Can't Afford: AA's New 'Flagship Experience'

American Airlines recently launched their new "Flagship Experience" to a not insignificant amount of fanfare, saturating potential customers with commercials, emails, and direct mailings. The new program is one-half genuine enhancements and one-half re-branding, pitting AA's perks against the top-tier offerings of other international airlines. The main targets are regular business and first travelers going to Europe, Asia and Latin America.

On the enhancements side, the Flagship Experience links the new business class seats on AA's 767's and 777's with AA's new Flagship Lounges.
