Important Scientific Experimentation: Ewan McGregor Tests the Coriolis Effect
Ewan McGregor has been a pretty busy guy during the past couple of years, appearing in nearly 50 movies and still finding time to take marathon motorcycle treks across Russia, Eastern Europe, and Africa. And while he and his friend Charley Boorman have gotten into plenty of scrapes and dustups along the way, they've also found time to conduct important scientific research.

Visiting The Church of Bones in Prague
Some tourists head to Prague for the Czech beer. Others, apparently, head to a spot nearby Prague instead, for the piles of bones.
We first heard about the Church of Bones--formally known as the Kostnice Ossuary--when Ewan McGregor stopped in here during his Long Way Round motorbike odyssey. It's a creepy collection of over 40,000 human skeletons, with all these bones carefully arranged by monks to decorate a small Catholic chapel. The skeletons are thought to be remains of people who died in the 14th and 15th centuries, but no matter how old they are, seeing the skulls staring out at you all around the church is more than a little disconcerting.
But it's fascinating, and easy to get to on a day trip out of Prague to a town called Kutna Hora. You can take the hour-long bus trip from central Prague for about $6 return and once you get there, admission costs 50 Czech crowns ($2.50). We recommend not souveniring any bones on this trip; a 500-year-old skull might be quite hard to explain at customs.

Start Booking Your Flights, Ladies, Clooney's In New Mexico
First up today, "Ugly Betty" is filming at Madison Square Park, home of coolest dog run in NYC, the city's first public pay toilet, tree houses and a mind-bogglingly popular burger stand.
We've also heard reports that "Men Who Stare At Goats", starring George Clooney and Ewan McGregor, is filming at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque today. We could go on and on about the campus and how it's situated on Route 66 but we doubt anyone really cares about that under the circumstances. We have a feeling that cubicles across the country are already being deserted and flights to New Mexico are already selling out. We understand, Godspeed to you all.
If you have any tips about where movies or TV shows are filming, send them our way at tips@jaunted.com.

Set In Vatican City, Shot In LA
The trailer for the film "Angels and Demons" just came out, and you'd think they'd actually shot it in Vatican City. But Ron Howard's cast and crew were locked out of the Holy See because church officials didn't really care for "The Da Vinci Code."
Instead, a mock-up St. Peter's Square was built in LA for filming. Producers also got access to the super-swanky Royal Palace in Caserta, Italy to use as a stand-in for interior shots.
Real Vatican or not, there's no doubt that the film will inspire a new batch of movie tourists, eager to see the place that the Illuminati are supposedly trying to destroy with antimatter. The film opens May 15, 2009.

Celeb TV Travel: Bike with Ewan McGregor This Summer
Now here's a reality show we actually want to watch: Actor and avid motorcyclist Ewan McGregor turned up at the Television Critics Association yearly press tour to talk about his new documentary "Long Way Down," which chronicles a ride he took with best friend Charley Boorman from Scotland all the way to South Africa.
The bike trip, which took place last summer, isn't even McGregor's first long race. Being rear-ended, devoured by mosquitos and getting held at gunpoint ensued on a 2004 trip across Europe and Asia and over to New York, but McGregor, currently bouncing between the Canadian set of the Earhart biopic "Amelia" and the Rome set of "Angels and Demons," wasn't deterred. And this time, his wife even learned to ride a motorbike so she could take a stage with them.
To find out what happens when a major star embarks on a "Road Rules"-style adventure, catch "Long Way Down" on August 2 on FOX Reality.

Ewan McGregor Completes 20-Country Motorcycle Tour

Ewan McGregor has just wrapped up his 15,000 mile, 20 country motorcycle trip with his buddy Charley Boorman. Even though the three month trip sounds a bit more Mad Max than Star Wars, we'd still love to follow in his footsteps. He and a friend, British actor Charley Boorman, left Scotland on motorcycles and rode south through Africa, stopping in Uganda and Malawi among other countries, drumming up good will for UNICEF.
Surprisingly, this isn't the first time McGregor has taken an ultra-long bike trip: In 2004, he rode east from London, across Mongolia and in to New York City, a journey that was turned into a book and TV show.
