Slot machines and baccarat are so over: Eva Longoria is reportedly partnering with Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham for a night spot in Vegas that introduces the soon-to-be latest craze in betting games: Dominoes!
Longoria opened her own Hollywood restaurant "Beso" last year, where it not only failed to die but has thrived. But it was in looking for venues to launch Beso II in Vegas, she was introduced to the Beckhams, themselves looking for a toehold in the scene.
Apparently, the dominoes were Posh's idea, so celebrities can cry and run away from the tables when they lose just like at age 5. Will they also offer Connect Four?
Newlyweds Eva Longoria and Tony Parker may be battling rumors that he had an affair with French model Alexandra Parassant (the catwalker claims she hooked up with the NBA star just after the wedding), but the couple was all cuddles and interlaced fingers as they disembarked from their late night flight into Terminal 1 at San Antonio International Airport.
Now we're not saying that the Spurs baller and the Desperate Housewife were putting on an act for the cameras, but when was the last time you felt like getting frisky with your boo as you waited for your luggage to drop in baggage claim? More likely, the pair is maintaining their so-called united front, with Longoria standing by her man as he gets slung through the mud. Maybe not the best time to wear white.
Now that the WGA picket lines have been going strong almost two weeks and production on current series is stopping, stars beholden to their shows' writers might need to get into another line of work. That's why Eva Longoria is following in the footsteps of Justin Timberlake and spending her hours off the "Desperate Housewives" set to open a Mexican restaurant in L.A. called Beso.
Longoria told People magazine, "I'm a big, big cooker in my family, so this is kind of an extension of my house. I feel like everybody's going to be in my living room." Unlike most vanity projects, though, she's not going it alone; instead, she got Boston chef and "Top Chef" finale guest Todd English to collaborate with her on Beso.
Despite Wednesday's preview party, the restaurant isn't quite ready to open yet (it's missing a liquor license, for one), but when it does open maybe Eva can create a half-priced strikers' special. Tacos for everyone!
Eva Longoria and Tony Parker are getting married at Vaux-le Vicomte castle in Maincy, near Paris France on July 7th. To prep for their castle wedding the couple decided to have a joint pre-wedding party in St. Tropez.
Of course, like any celebrity gathering in St. Tropez, a chartered yacht was necessary. Looking at the photos, it appears a gold Princess Leia bathing suit was also necessary. In any event if you think you can hang with the big moneyed travelers in St. Tropez, Cannes Boat has you covered, if you can't you can always head to Vaux le Vicomte and take in one of their candlelight evenings.
Furthermore, it seems the South of France is the place for summer travel fashion trend setting. In 2006 we had Borat's swimsuit, and in 2007 we have Eva's.
