Sleepless White Nights Hit Europe
September 6, 2007 at 9:30 AM | 0 Comments

The end of summer is upon us, but that's no reason to stop partying: A bunch of European cities--plus Toronto--are about to start a round of all-night parties they call White Nights.
White Nights--or the sexier sounding French version Nuit Blanche--are celebrations with open-all-night museums, circus troop performances and opera, jazz and rock concerts that go 'til morning. A group of cities have now banded together to get a bit of a White Nights Circuit going, so if you've got some free time in the next month, check out these White Nights:
- Rome: September 8
- Madrid: September 22
- Brussels and Toronto: September 29
- Paris and Valletta, Malta: October 6
So if you're into partying all night or just getting ultra-cultural in Europe, start adjusting your sleep pattern now.

Party With The Young In Europe
February 14, 2007 at 5:37 PM | 0 Comments

Guardian Travel writer Benji Lanyado has a cool little side project. Here is the crux of Youngin Europe:
Once upon a time on a smelly bus from Split to Dubrovnik, Benji had an idea. It was shit so he went to sleep. Then he had another idea. Wouldn't it be great if he could get to Dubrovnik, already knowing where the best place to stay was, where to party, and where to chill? Unfortunately, the forty-something travel writer in his Lonely Planet suggested about six things to do, seven of which were rubbish.
Bed Time (hotels), Party Time (clubs), even the mysterious Hammer Time all have tabs to themselves on each Youngin Europe destination page. Sadly, there is no Borat inspired "Sexy Time"...yet.
The content, is sparse thus far, but growing, especially in certain popular locales. For instance, St. Petersburg Russia seems to have a growing Party Time section.
