Why LAX Airport is Building a Team of Therapy Dogs
No matter how many times you’ve made your way through the airport security shuffle, the whole travel experience Is still a little bit stressful. That’s why we’re pretty excited to hear about Los Angeles International Airport’s plan to bring a little more relaxation to the airport. They’re not doing yoga within the terminal—at least not yet—but they are bringing some furry friends right into the airport.
Therapy dogs are now doing their thing in the boarding areas, near the baggage claim carrousels, and everywhere in between over at LAX. It’s part of a new program aimed to help people relax prior to takeoff or just after landing, and they’re calling it PUPs—Pets Unstressing Passengers.

Southwest Flies the Furriest Victims of Hurricane Sandy

The last time we heard from Southwest Airlines they were busy rescuing a beautiful little butterfly that missed the memo to head to warmer weather for the winter. Well now the airline that provides plenty of LUV to all creatures and critters is at it again, but this time the helping out furry friends displaced due to Hurricane Sandy.
Over the weekend Southwest organized a special charter flight and around 60 dogs and cats from the Save A Pet organization on Long Island as well as Delco SPCA to send these little guys towards a better home. There was a special onboard crew, as animal rescue experts from SeaWorld were caring for the animals.

How Target's Bulldog Flies Delta First Class
Update 4:30pm: Even Delta's loving it. They've just posted their own photo of Bullseye on their Facebook page.
Celebrity traveler alert! This morning, a few passengers onboard a Delta flight from Chicago-O'Hare to Minneapolis tweeted their intense excitement over brushing the shoulder of Bullseye, Target's spokesdog bull terrier. They should all be in the air right now, as we type this, and apparently the pooch is sitting pretty in First Class for the domestic flight. This, however, shouldn't come as much of a surprise.
[See snap of Bullseye in the first row, right here & right here].
It also shouldn't be a big shocker that Bullseye flies Delta, since this October 2011 New York Times piece on a bulldog travel ban shares that the airline has classified Bullseye a "high-profile animal," meaning he gets the A-OK to have his own seat within the cabin. Another Delta high-profile four-legged flyer? Uga, bulldog mascot of the University of Georgia.
