No one travels quite like Dita Von Teese travels. So, when the burlesque star was jaunting across America recently, promoting her new 'My Cointreau Travel Essentials' bar, we cornered her to ask some burning travel questions--tips that may just get us through this month of holiday travel insanity.
Jaunted: What are your beauty travel essentials?
Dita:I always have my lipstick, lip pencil, powder and moisturizer.

Dita Von Teese Doesn't Leave Home Without Her Specially Designed Cocktail Bar
Would you travel with an entire mini cocktail bar? Perhaps we should add "if you could" since we all know the carry-on liquid allowances by now and ain't nobody checking a delicate alcohol-and-glasses set worth hundreds of dollars (no set price has been publicized yet). Regardless, Dita Von Teeselong one of our absolute favorite consistent jetsettershas released a hatbox coffret that transforms into a bar, specifically made for indulging in Cointreau cocktails while on the go.
We're drooling at the thought of popping this open in a compartment of the Orient-Express or in a cabin on a Cunard ship, but the fact remains that these days, it's damn difficult to travel with anything but the well-packed necessities. That is, unless you have assistants.

Tweet of the Week: TSA Agents Can Look Glamorous, Too
We love Tuesdays. Why, you ask? Because the day brings many travel tips and quips as "Travel Tuesday" on Twitter, and we're going to share our favorite with you. Got an avid travel twitterer we should follow? Let us know.
It's no secret our love for burlesque star Dita Von Teese. With homes in both LA and Paris and performance commitments everywhere from Kazakhstan to Sao Paulo, the raven-haired beauty is a globetrotter through and through. And despite all that jet lag, airplane air and 10+ hour flights, she always manages to emerge from an aircraft ready for her close-up (which the waiting paparazzi are happy to provide).
Today, however, the tables are turned as the limelight moves from Dita to the actual airport employees with whom she interacts on her travels:

Dita Von Teese Ditches Paris For One Week Only in Vegas
Although we usually leave Las Vegas news to our sister site, VegasChatter, we just had to share the news that one of our favorite travel tweeters, who also happens to be the world's top burlesque star, Dita Von Teese is returning to Vegas for a week's worth of performances.
These days, she spends most of her time at her place in Paris or flying around the world either signing her books or giving little tastes of her signature martini glass act, but when she's back at the MGM Grand's Crazy Horse, it's the real deal. She'll be performing "Lazy" with the Crazy Horse dancers, "Le Bain Noir," and "Teese'ing," and hopefully more from March 31 through April 7 (no show on April 6).

Winehouse May Be Gone, But The Hawley's Still Rocking

Since she’s been menacing the Caribbean since December, Amy Winehouse hasn’t graced London with her presence for a while. Most of us are rejoicing that we don’t have to see her nightly escapades in the papers every day. But it’s a bit of a blow for The Hawley Arms. The Camden pub is her local drinking hole, and whenever Amy’s around, it’s guaranteed to get mentioned in the press.
But for us lot, Amy’s absence could be a good thing. Because it means that, instead of being crammed with journalists feigning nonchalance as they stalk the Winehouse, you might even get a seat.

Stylish Travel: A Fashion Week Too Far?
No tans please: Lily Allen, Dita Von Teese and Katy Perry represent the palest of the pale in the front row of the Christian Dior show at Paris Fashion Week.
A recent New York Times story quipped "the sun never sets on the runway" with the proliferation of Fashion Weeks worldwide. Paris is even safer than New York, considering many of the classic ateliers like Dior, Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel are still open there. But "Islands of the World Fashion Week" in the Bahamas sounds like a fashion editor's excuse to take a vacation.

Airport Photo Shoot: Shoes And Coat Off, Beret On
Burlesque dancer Dita von Teese refuses to tamp down her glamorous '40s style, even for mundane activities like checking into an American Airlines flight at LAX. To proceed quickly through security, though, she gamely removed her huge coat and sky-high heels... just not the beret. It's never okay to make security jokes in line, but you can still rock a Patty Hearst look--phew!
With her divorce from shock-rocker Marilyn Manson recently finalized, Dita has more reason to travel in style than ever. You never know when you might see someone cute in first class--'cause we know none of them are in coach.

Dita Von Teese Parties At The Drop Of A Pen

Let the commoners have Super Bowl XLI! Burlesque star Dita Von Teese joined model Naomi Campbell, actor Christopher Lee and actress Juliette Binoche at the Montblanc "Night Of The Stars," a release party for the German pen maker's new gold-and-diamond collection held in Chamonix, France.
Guests watched European models stomp the catwalk in an ice palace built specially for the occasion at the foot of Western Europe's tallest mountain, and Campbell showed off a $4 million ensemble featuring 43-faceted diamonds that is part of the collection. (We assume the museum part.) We don't know which make of pen made it into the gift bags, although we're hoping one lucky guest took home Montblanc spokesman Nicolas Cage.
For your own party worth writing home about, you can reach Chamonix through Geneva, Switzerland, an hour's drive away (both Continental Airlines and Swiss have nonstop flights from New York). Or make it a grand European tour and stop over in Munich, Frankfurt or Copenhagen with United Airlines' partners Lufthansa and Scandinavian Air. Till you do, check out the party pictures here.

How to Make Like Dita Von Teese, Minus the Part Where You Divorce Marilyn Manson

By now all gossip addicts (and the rest of us who have to be online all day) have heard about Marilyn Manson's breakup with his burlesque superstar wife, Dita Von Teese. Sad, because that one was really meant to last. Manson reportedly left his cute 'n' classy wife for mini-Dita Evan Rachel Wood, 19, who we can only assume thinks it's totally gonna last this time. To each their own, we guess. Whether Dita's composure during tumultuous times has inspired you to tap into the magic of burlesque yourself, or you simple want to see her in action, we've got a few suggestions.
In Seattle, Miss Indigo Blue's Academy of Burlesque accepts both male and female students, and promises to teach you "how to twirl your tasseled pasties in at least 5 different ways!" In San Francisco, Bombshell Betty offers Burlesquercise workshops that turn burlesque basics into a workout. And in Montreal, Mademoiselle Oui Oui Encore offers classes, available to women only, near the Mont-Royal metro stop.
If you just want to cheer Dita on, she'll be performing on February 9 and 10 at the Triple Door in downtown Seattle.
