Yachting Travel: Armani's Summer Vacation

74-year-old designer Giorgio Armani was spotted recently, relaxing on his boat off Sardinia. Not shown: the Speedo he's sunbathing in.

Earlier this summer Armani received the Légion d'honneur from French president Nicolas Sarkozy, for which stars from Tina Turner to Helen Mirren feted him in some of his many creations.

And everyone who saw "The Dark Knight" was treated to a free ad for his menswear as he designed for Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne moments. So all right, maybe he deserves a vacation!

Kelly Rowland, Travel Reporter?

Stars... they're just like us! Kelly Rowland is trying to muscle her way into the travel-media field with a TV pilot. The show, tentatively called "Around the World," hasn't been picked up yet, but will supposedly show the best in hotels, restaurants and shopping around the globe.

Rowland seems like a grounded enough girl not to pull a "Taradise," but she needs a specialty like Tara Reid's. (Getting drunk and falling down in exotic locales is not a specialty.) Since she's a singer, maybe she can do a little ditty at the end of each episode?

Friday: "The Spirit," with Frank Miller, Eva Mendes and Samuel L. Jackson All the fanboys will be in the scrum for the "Watchmen" panel, and while the teaser before "The Dark Knight" looked cool, we're more into this Christmas release based on the classic Will Eisner superhero in a suit. 2:30 pm

Saturday: "Starship Troopers 3" Best. Straight-to-DVD. Movie. Ever. 5 pm

Sunday: "Hamlet 2" Panel Preview this offbeat summer comedy, a Sundance favorite, in which a wacky drama teacher (Steve Coogan) decides to write a sequel to a seemingly un-sequel-able Shakespeare play to save the theater. Amy Poehler and Catherine Keener assist. 11:30 am

Hasn't Gillian Anderson seen "Alien"? Getting pregnant while promoting a movie about extraterrestrial life... that takes guts. The actress even walked the red carpet for "X-Files: I Want To Believe" with long-time TV costar David Duchovny.

Guess everyone's into aliens these days: The Roswell UFO Festival reported a 25 percent jump in attendance this year, while local hotels were sold out and the city moved $15,000 of merchandise over 4 days. In these recessionary times, are we counting on visitors from the sky to save us?

Breaking: Matthew McConaughey Surfs with Shirt on

We were shocked--shocked--to see Matthew McConaughey, Our Lord Of Perpetual Bare-Chestedness, with a covered torso on a recent surfing trip in Malibu. The famously shirtless new dad covered up with a neoprene top that he paired with board shorts in a fashion move that probably puzzled the paparazzi out of harassing him.

Maybe this is just a promo shoot for his upcoming movie "Surfer Dude," but if Matt really wanted to rip up some waves he'd check out our Honky Tonk Surf Towns map. Watch the trailer for this year's most pointless movie--featuring McConaughey, naturally shirtless--after the jump.

Summer Date Travel: Rihanna And Chris Brown Are Amused

Chris Brown and Rihanna made like a high school couple and recently enjoyed a day at the amusement park at Paramount's Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia. Aww, see, he's holding her stuff so she can go on the coasters!

Both singers have signed on to play VH-1 and Vogue's annual "Fashion Rocks" concert in New York City September 9, along with Beyonce, chart-topper Lil' Wayne and up-and-coming British chanteuse Duffy. Get your tickets now for the Radio City Music Hall event!

End Times Officially Here as Heidi and Spencer Plan Iraq Trip

As if the country needs more disastrous American intervention, Heidi and Spencer are planning a trip to Iraq. The "singer" wants to get on-stage to entertain the troops, while we imagine Pratt will venture out on a shark fishing expedition.

In an interview with "Extra," Spencer declared:

I think Meghan McCain is helping organize Heidi and our Iraq trip. Her dad definitely has some pull with the military. I think she's going to put that together for us.

At least if she sends the reality couple overseas, Meghan won't have to meet up with them for lunch!

Not Broadway Travel: K-Fed Won't Go "Blonde"

Hey, remember Kevin Federline? Seems like a year ago he had full custody of the sanity from the Spears-Federline marriage. But now the former Mr. Britney just got canned from his latest job as a bit actor on Broadway in "Legally Blonde."

What does one have to do to get fired from a show based on a Reese Witherspoon movie, for which MTV just cast the lead via reality show? Well... no one really knows, but we assume he wanted to introduce his own raps into the proceedings. In any case, "Blonde" is missing some of its actors and Federline, who recently assumed full custody of sons Jayden James and Sean Preston, will have more time to spend being a dad.

Other interesting stunt-casting news from this month: Aubrey O'Day of Danity Kane goes to "Hairspray"; Whoopi Goldberg steps into the shoes of a goddess in "Xanadu" and Jeremy Piven will take the lead in the revival of David Mamet's "Speed-the-Plow" alongside "Mad Men" striver Elisabeth Moss. Oh, and the winner of the MTV show was a preacher's daughter from South Carolina named Bailey Hanks who had never seen a Broadway show before.

Chris Crocker: Just Like Us!

If you think about it, this story makes perfect sense because what better place is there to meet an internet celebrity than the Genius Bar at your local Apple store? Blogger B-Side filed this report after bumping into Chris "Leave Britney Alone" Crocker in LA recently:

Now, I don't want to say I was star-struck--it's more like the exact opposite--however, I couldn't help thinking how hilarious it was that I was basically standing at the Genius Bar next to one of the internet's biggest curiosities. If only Tay Zonday could have shown up too. It would have been like the Weezer video all over again.

I knew I had to capture this bizarre encounter; so I busted out my camera phone and did one of those "I'm on the phone, but not really because I'm TAKING A PICTURE OF YOU" moves. I don't think anyone noticed. The downside is that the image turned out to be pretty bad (you can only see his wig), but trust me, 'twas him.

Only in Los Angeles, kiddos!

Nowhere to Hide for Sienna Miller

Sienna Miller tried to pretend she hasn't been in the tabloids for weeks while out and about in London yesterday. Ever since her steamy vacation photos co-starring very married boyfriend Balthazar Getty got out, her attempts to keep a low profile have been, shall we say, somewhat pointless.

Sienna's toplessness on holiday with Getty in Italy is one thing, but not all nudity-friendly zones are also pro-adultery: A clothing-optional hotel in Florida, Caliente Resorts, was forced to withdraw from the American Association for Nude Recreation amid rumors of sex parties taking place behind its closed doors.

Turns out, the AANR is a "family-oriented association," so any connection to swingers just won't fly.

Get Buzzed this August for $9k

Celebrities losing weight is so 20th century; the hot new trend is going totally weightless! We told you about Joey Fatone taking a Zero G flight for his 31st birthday back in February, and now the anti-gravity flight provider has even raised the bar for those willing to spend $9,000.

On August 17, Zero G will host a flight out of Las Vegas for a select 16 people--the normal load is 35--with one very special guest, astronaut Buzz Aldrin. With more room to float freely for 30 seconds at a time, the lucky crew can mingle with Buzz and ask him about all the wild stuff he did when he was weightless for hours at a time.

We can think of what we'd want to do weightless in a plane, and it's dirty. If you're paying nine grand, we'd be hoping for a bit more excitement than throwing chips at each other from across the cabin!
