Above: James' final leg, from Dubai to Sydney
24 hours ago, BBC Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson and James May set off from London-Heathrow Airport with a final destination of Sydney, Australia. They flew on separate planes through different layover airports, and their arrival times were to be within thirty minutes of each other despite the incredibly huge distance traveled. The trip evolved into a Top Gear Live challenge, with the usual jokes and competitive spirit of a regular Top Gear challenge, except that it all occurred over Twitter.
Well, now that the guys have completed their #RacetoSydney journey and are on the ground Down Under, it's time to name the winner.

UPDATE: The race has concluded, nearly 24 hours after it began. Check out who won, and how some twists made it a real nail-biter.
The sun has set for tonight in London, but it's already a bright new day over in Sydney. The miles and time zones between the two world capitals are many, and right now they're the focus of a new, live Top Gear race, as presenters Jeremy Clarkson and James May challenge each other to be the first to zip across the globe and touch down at Sydney's Kingsford-Smith International Airport.
Both are traveling on commercial flightsJeremy's onboard Singapore Airlines SQ321 to Singapore and James is on Emirates EK6 to Dubaiand both on Airbus A380s for all legs. They're also due to share their travels on Twitter thanks to the magic of in-flight wifi, but only Jeremy seems to have gotten the hang of using the network onboard his flight, which is currently chasing James' flight across Germany.
But is this race really for BBC's Top Gear? All signs point to yes, as Jeremy notes that it is a "Top Gear race," and the video of their announcing it (posted below), was uploaded to a "Top Gear Live" channel. There's a hashtag, of course: #RacetoSydney.

As Ellen DeGeneres pointed out during last night's ceremony, Meryl Streep has been nominated for an Oscar so many times (18 to be exact), that it's probably cost hundreds of thousands of dollars for her to attend. Even when she loses, however, she can make most of that money back in the form a super swanky gift bag.
This year all of the nominees will receive a $85,000 swag bag filled with 50 gifts worth anywhere from $6.50 to $16,000 in the "'Everyone Wins at the Oscars' Nominee Gift Bag."

It's that time of the year already, when the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue brushes all other magazines off the racks to grab attention with barely bikini-covered boobs, and of course Page Six is all over the hijinks that occurred during photo shoots.
Aside from the models jetting off to exotic destinations like the Matterhorn in Switzerland, the hidden sand dunes of Brazil, and remote beaches in the Cook Islands, cover star Kate Upton was launched into "space" onboard the Zero-G parabolic trainer aircraft to simulate a gravity-less environment. Upton rode the Boeing 727 through multiple maneuvers and changed into various gold swimwear designs, without loosing her stomach, to complete one of the more elaborate photo spreads in the magazine.
Typically Zero-G requires their guests to wear navy flight jumpsuits and pay $4,950 per person for the experience, but we're sure Kate didn't have to worry about these trivialities. To get onboard yourself, Zero-G has upcoming flights available in Miami, Houston, Austin, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Philadelphia.

A weird fight has been happening at Indianapolis International Airport lately, over the possibly installation of art glorifying Justin Bieber and his super popular follower tagline, Belieber. Seewe promised it was weird.
The whole story began when airport officials wanted to brighten up their walls with some trendy art and so called upon home-grown artist, Tre Reising, to conjure up a piece which would encourage interaction. Reising then proposed a colorful piece made up of the hashtag #Belieb, originally intended for flyers to snap their photo with the art and upload it to their favorite social media. Seems like a win-win for the airport and the artist. Not exactly.
So, a couple months ago while walking down Oxford Street in Sydney, our attention was momentarily grabbed by a store sporting nothing but onesies in the window. Surely there had to be more to their retail concept? But no, it was, in fact, "One Piece," a brand and entire worldwide chain of stores dedicated to bundling up the adult population like nappy-wearing infants. We only hoped we'd never witness onesies supplant Juicy Couture track pants as a trend in airplane attire.
Turns out we're hoping against hope, since a girl of questionable fame was recently caught by the paparazzi at London-Heathrow emerging from baggage claim in what is simultaneously the world's most comfortable and least appropriate travel outfit. And it's not the first time; shePerrie Edwards of UK girl group "Little Mix" and fiancé of one of the One Direction boyspulled a similar look at Glasgow Airport.

Inside a charter Hawker 800
In news that surprises no one, Justin Bieber has been detained at an airport for potentially flying in his private jet while smoking weed, news broken by Page Six. The actual interesting part of this recent headline is that the offense took place today at Teterboro Airport, as Bieber flew in on a chartered Raytheon Hawker 800 with his dad and a posse of ten to head to this weekend's Super Bowl.
Nothing was found after a search of the aircraft, and this is actually the smallest issue in Bieber's month; he flew in from Toronto after being charged with assault there, and he's looking at a DUI for pot in Miami and vandalism in California.
It's no secret that Justin loves the leafy greens, but he should know better than to try to fly into a NYC-area airport with illegal substances during a time of heightened security. Save those antics for Colorado Springs Airport!
