How To Become A Contestant On 'Minute To Win It'
NBC has a surprise hit on its hands with the game show Minute To Win It which was just renewed for a second season. The show, hosted by celebrity chef Guy Fieri, asks contestants to do seemingly mundane tasks in less than a minute. Some of the "games" have included Mega Bubble, which requires contestants to blow a bubble using a bubble wand, and then blow it 15 feet into the air, directing it through a hoop, and Ping Tac Toe, in which contestants get ping pong balls of two different colors, and bounce the balls into drinking glasses to complete a Tic Tac Toe sequence.
They've already completed all eight episodes for the first season of Minute To Win It, but they are gearing up to begin filming season two soon. The show is taped at Universal Studios in Los Angeles in front of a live audience and though free audience tickets are not yet available for the second season, they are already holding auditions for contestants.

Get to New Mexico to Land a Role in Marvel's Movie 'Thor'
Comic geeks, get ready, because here's your chance to be a part of the big screen version of Thor!
For those not in the know, Thor is the next Marvel comic being made into a movie. In the Marvel world, Thor is a powerful yet arrogant, warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. As punishment, he is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans. On Earth, he learns what it takes to be a hero when the most dangerous villain from Asgard sends forces to invade our planet.
The movie is already filming at Raleigh Manhattan Beach Studios in Manhattan Beach, CA but next month, they move the whole production to Sante Fe, New Mexico, where they will need background actors to appear in the film. There will be an open casting call this weekend for anyone interested in inhabiting Thor's world. Here are the details:

Blame Canada: "New Moon" Casting Call Causes Mayhem
Just when our nation has finally been able to set aside its differences, another poisonous split threatens to divide us all. We speak of course of the "Twilight" sequel "New Moon," filming in Canada later this year; as thousands of teens were turned away from an open casting call, a vicious backlash appears poised to hit the Stephenie Meyer-penned juggernaut.
For reasons unbelievably dim, the Vancouver-based Second Avenue Studios decided to host an open call for aspiring actors ages 15-25 with first nations or aboriginal heritage to populate the reservation where Bella hangs out with her toothy pal Jacob. Then, overwhelmed by the response, on-site personnel cut off the line at 12:30PM, leaving fans, some of whom had waited since 5AM, in the lurch.
Comments suggest the line-pushing and animosity were nowhere near last fall's Twilight Riot, in which a queue for bracelets that would guarantee a chance to meet star Robert Pattinson turned into an open brawl outside a Hot Topic in California. But organizers definitely should have concealed the relation of their project to the surprise blockbuster hit, if only to save the trip for those unlucky enough to have come from as far away as Florida for a chance to be Kristen Stewart's BFF.
